It would be great to see hidden Wii gems get a second chance with this system, such as Fragile Dreams and A Shadow's Tale. Both games that never sold well or got remarkable reviews, but I think they deserve another look.
I just wish they'd announce proper release dates. This Ambassador programme is a strange tactic that isn't paying off. Plus, I want an XL so this would be no use for me even if I were eligible.
Just noticed the amiibos in the picture have more subtle "support" plastic in place. Clear plastic and hard to notice. The ones that were released had nasty colours and were much larger. Obviously the old ones were too fragile, but I do wish they kept the clear plastic as there's no reason for weird coloured lumps at the bottom of most of the statues.
Hydroventure is my favourite WiiWare game. A Wii U sequel needs to happen. More in line with the open exploration stages of the first one than the 3DS one (which was great, but I preferred the original format). If Nintendo don't allow it that will be very sad indeed.
Parents buy Disney tie-in products for their kids. Parents look at the shelf and see the DS version is cheaper than the 3DS version. Parents buy the DS version. Exact same thing could be said for the 3DS and DS consoles, actually. MYSTERY SOLVED.
I doubt Sony got the rights to use every character on this, it would be an absolute licensing and coordination nightmare. I mean, Wakko is there for some reason. And Feena from Grandia - a defunct series that who knows who the license owner is. It will just be a Google job.
People in the UK should try their local Argos. I picked up a Villager for £10.99 a few days ago, and all the other rarer ones were in stock. Nobody thinks to look in Argos (and the Amiibos are too new to be in the catalogues), so it's kind of a hidden treasure trove of Amiibos. You can check and reserve stock online, too.
Disclaimer: I do not work for Argos. The weird alien adverts freak me out, personally.
Kind of wish that the London date is in the Royal Albert Hall. Wembley Arena will feel a little bit too modern for a Zelda symphony. The Final Fantasy concert plays in RAH pretty much every year, and the dated but grand setting really fits a fantasy series perfectly.
Your image for this article isn't actually officially Sonic Boom. It's a fan-made edit of other CGI art. Sonic is from the comic - issue Sonic 257. And Tails, I believe is a piece of art from Sonic Lost World.
@shinokami I never said anything about the style of gameplay. Personally I think Sonic fans should be open to different takes on the characters, and not dismiss something right away because it isn't "fast". What I am concerned about is the quality, and it sounds like that's something SEGA is concerned about as well. Which doesn't bode well.
As a huge and very obsessive Sonic fan, I have to say it's very unfair for SEGA to raise my hopes with Colours and Generations, then put out the incredibly average Lost World and, by the sound of it, this stinker. I thought they had finally learned
P.S. I'm more worried in SEGA not sending out review copies than a single glitch. As far as we know that glitch may have a one in a million chance of happening. SEGA not having confidence in their own product is cause for concern.
Only five 3DS games on that list. It kind of feels like the 3DS eShop scene is dying down a little bit. Just me? The majority of my downloads these days are VC titles.
I came in here to mention that the face is far too expressive for Link, but after reading the comments I see I don't need to.
The good news is F4F respond to criticism and given the response, they are likely to change it. They are doing so for their Mega Man (weird expression) and have made minor tweaks to other statues in the past.
I know Mario is super popular, but Mario themes are outnumbering all other Nintendo games by something like 10:1 (literally just one - Zelda). I know it's early days, but it would have been nice to launch with a broader range of game themes.
So the 3DS XL does have a removable back faceplate, but it won't be customisable? That's kind of annoying. I will get an XL for obvious reasons, but I would love to customise it.
P.S. Did the music in these videos remind anyone else of NiGHTS?
I'm assuming not as I haven't heard any mention of it, but is there no way to pull your rankings from the first game's tracks into this one? It's great that they're all there, but I spent a long time on the first game, bought all the DLC too, and don't too much fancy playing it all again purely for completion's sake. I suppose there are differences between some tracks - all the EMS from the first game have been slotted into FMS or BMS.

Re: Official Nintendo UK Store Kicks Off amiibo Pre-Orders for Wave 4
Another good heads-up: All Wave 3 Amiibo aside from Rosalina are in stock on Amazon right now. And yes, sold by Amazon, regular price.
