Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (21st June)

Managed to grab myself a Switch 2 at the beginning of the week (perfect start to a week off work haha) and have been playing a lot of games for an hour or so just to see how they perform.

Finally decided on a replay of BotW mixed with Mario Kart World and my constant Tetris 99 obsession!

Aiming to finish Phoenix Wight Ace Attorney, currently on the last case. It's been a lot of fun revisiting, played it originally on DS at release but picked up the trilogy collection on switch a couple of years ago as I never played the sequels on DS.

So possibly a whole weekend spent in court, with the occasional Tetris 99 game.

My switch died about a year ago and I've finally managed to replace it! So I'm dipping and diving between a lot of games I haven't played for so long. Lost all my save files so started again on everything, MH Rise is the big one, trying to get ready for Sunbreak but still in low rank. Playing the demo for Triangle Strategy as I've been excited for that since the first demo, will pick it up soon.

Re: Talking Point: Do You Replay Games?

I do go back, but it's rare that il finish it a second/third time. I think when I get the urge to replay a game, I'm also wishing I could go back to that time when I first played it, not to get all "woe is me" but life isn't particularly great at the moment, so yeah, I feel the need for a comfort game and boot up Skyrim, remembering that I stayed up till midnight and headed to Asda to buy it at launch, remembering being in a party on the 360 with my friend who I've since lost touch with, staying up till 5am getting lost in its awesomeness and chatting away.

There's a few games I do this with, games are like albums, I remember what was happening in my life at the time of playing and long for those experiences again as well as the game/album.

Working most of the weekend sadly, but will squeeze in some gaming where I can. Recently made the stupid decision to buy Skyrim (again) on switch - £50, more money than sense. But the ability to have that game portable was too much! So il be playing that when I can.

Downloaded bomberman but haven't played it yet so hopefully dip my toe if I get chance.

Re: Axiom Verge 2 Has Been Delayed To Q3 This Year

I feel like the only person who doesn't like this game, lol. I respect it from a distance, have tried a couple of times for it to click, sadly it never has.

Hope it's worth the wait for the fans, a delay for quality purposes is always welcome.

Re: Surprise! Nintendo Confirms That "Many" New Games Are Coming This Year

Elusive_89

Fingers crossed we get a few Zelda remasters and (less likely) a metroid prime trilogy remaster.
I may be misremembering but didn't Nintendo say they expect to sell insert massive number here of games this year? So possibly BotW 2 this Christmas?

Who knows, I'm optimistic anyway, actually looking forward to E3 this year, haven't felt like that since 2013 ish.

Re: Review: Monster Hunter Rise - A New Apex For Capcom's Beastly Franchise

@Muddy_4_Ever I am by no means a veteran of the series (World was my first) but I am around 10 hours in Rise and pretty much every hunt has lasted about 5 minutes, 10 at the most. Which I find extremely disappointing.
So far this game has lacked any challenge, I'm waiting for my "Diablo moment" of hitting a wall for days trying to beat a monster. Hopefully it comes.

But yeah, no hour long epic hunts (yet)

Re: Nintendo Tweets About Splatoon 2's April Update, Then Deletes It

I have this game and really feel I missed out due to buying it late (just before Christmas).

I’m having fun, just not as much as I thought I would (didn’t play the first one) a lot of this will of course be due to being 30 and having no friends with a switch to play with haha. But those splatfests sure sound fun!

Will be interested in a third game for sure.
