Too much? I don't see people complain about too many games with realistic 3D graphics or cel shaded graphics. We don't say "hey, brakes on the sci-fi aesthetics" and "ugh, tired of all these pixel games."

No one complained when most big games all had the same graphical aesthetic: realistic 3D with over the shoulder POV. Uncharted 4, The Last of Us, Spider-Man, God of War, Resident Evil 2-4 Remake, Alan Wake, RDR2, Jedi Fallen Order...

HD-2D is barely a thing right now. Let it shine.

@Darktower77 2023 saw Tears of the Kingdom, Mario Bros Wonder, DLC for Pokemon, DLC for Splatoon 3, Pikmin 4, Fire Emblem Engage, Wario Ware Move It, Detective Pikachu Returns, Bayonetta Origins, multiple DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Fitness Boxing Fist of the North Star, and Disney Illusion Island. None of those are remakes or ports. What are you high on, dude? If you WANT to include remakes and ports, I'd say they're the least lazy. When was the last time Xbox gave us anything that wasn't Forza or Halo? They have other IPs but I don't see any titles in 2023. Where's Conker, Banjo, Perfect Dark, Gears of War, Killer Instinct?

While playing huge titles like Tears of the Kingdom or Xenoblade Chronicles 3, I dive into a few Fortnite matches. In between big games, I like short indies like Hades, Dead Cells, or Shovel Knight.

@EaglyBird yeah, you're right. It's just hard to ignore when people's lives and income are on the line, not just our hobby and passion.

Dude... what a way to shout to the world that you don't care about people's livelihood. This affects demos, charity bundles, pirated copies, Xbox Game Pass, and Steam gifts (to say the least). Review bombing on Metacritic will be replaced by malicious people using VMs to mass-install games to bankrupt a developer; people could lose their jobs, man. That affects their savings, their homes, their kids.

Aww don't forget Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest Dai!

I wish him the best of luck. He definitely earned his retirement. He will always be an icon for the franchise.
Oddly for me, though, he WASN'T the one who defined Mario's voice when I was growing up. When I think of Mario, I think of Lou Albano.

People are weird. When the GTA trilogy came out, butchered, everyone was like "they should've ported the original versions, as is, and I'd pay full price."
Now when they do that for RDR, people are saying "they should've updated it a bit, a remaster or remake, and lower the price for an old game."
I'm buying it. I never got to play RDR1. It's pricey, yeah, but at least it's available.

@adh56 That's not being lazy. I'm pretty sure it's to prevent save scumming since this game has competitive multiplayer. Games like Pokemon do the same thing. It'd be unfair if you can use multiple save files and use them to undo mistakes or catch rare monsters and then use them online.

@-wc- that's fine.. each Dragon Quest is it's own game (like Final Fantasy) so you don't need to play any of them to understand the others. This even applies to the spin-offs, even when they are connected to a mainline title. This one is based on the anime/manga, which doesn't require any prior knowledge.

People complainin bout Mario not sounding like he does in the games... and here I am still attached to Lou Albano as Mario.

I love D&D. I love Minecraft. Now I get both in one game. YES.

Heck yes, I'm excited!!! I prefer playing in Japanese with subs anyway, so that's not an issue for me. I get my copy tomorrow and I'll dive right into it. I literally just finished Astral Chain and I'm in need of a new JRPG to sink 100+ hours into. This easily goes into my "best trilogies on the Switch" list.

I love these games! I'm super excited for this anime.

I fell in love with this series when I first got to play Atelier Lulua but it's definitely not in my top five. I'd have to go with Ryza 1 (yes, I prefer its story over 2 though the sequel is definitely excellent), Totori, Firis, and... I don't know, I can't settle on a fifth. I love them all.

Aw man, I've been waiting for this... But, I'll take a delayed game over a rushed one. I love this franchise.

I'm finishing Xenoblade Chronicles 3 this weekend so I can dive right into Persona 5 Royal when the Switch port comes out. I've been playing all three Xenoblade Chronicles games since March and man, I'm exhausted (but I love these games to death!!!)... But yeah, my brain is ready for a different JRPG series. I need a breath of fresh air. Might get No Man's Sky too.

Give me a release date for Front Mission.

@F_Destroyer they look spot on to me. It's based on Tekken 3, not the newer ones. It's the animation that looks weird to me.

I'm still finishing up Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition (I finished XC2 already) and playing TMNT Shredder's Revenge too!

I'm so happy to see Dragon Quest XI S make it to the top 30. I love that franchise to death.

Give me lofi Pokemon, Legend of Zelda, or Dragon Quest and I'm good to go.

Do it!!! The job system and the music (Battle at the Big Bridge, the final fight with Ex-Death, etc) are both freaking amazing.

Thanks for Twin Bee and Shadow of the Ninja but... just these four? Really? We wait this long and that's all they got to add? If we're only going to get 2 games per system on a "whenever" basis then at least give us some real classics... Jackal, Chrono Trigger, Actraiser, Holy Diver, etc...

Thank you so much for bringing these games to the Switch. I LOVE Dungeons & Dragons and having these is like mana from the heavens. Add in Pillars of Eternity and Divinity: Original Sin 2 and the Switch is now my companion whenever I can't call my friends for a real tabletop session. Now we just need Baldur's Gate 3 on the Switch

I have to agree with this review. FF VIII is definitely bogged down by it's plot and the junction system (which you can break so easily). That said, it definitely still rocks. I wish there were more scenes with Laguna and crew. I'd play FF IX or VI over this any day though.

The last game under EA I ever cared for was Dragon Age: Origins and that was forever ago. They're never going to remaster it so meh...

Day one purchase for me. I love this franchise!

You guys would be surprised at the kind of powerhouse games that can run on the Switch. The real problem is the cartridge. Fitting a lot into a 16-32GB cartridge isn't optimal, especially if you have to force consumers to download the rest. I wonder if this will change if Nintendo can make 32 and 64GB cartridges readily available and for a cheaper price.

Of course they're not planning it right now. The focus right now is getting the game out first on Switch and see how it goes.
