@Lazz Yes thats the case. I just bought it on SW2 (called switch 2 edition), it gave me the sw1 edition and the upgrade pack in one, but the download just straight away installed the switch 2 edition with a different text and icon.

So either way you buy it you get sw1 edition and sw2 upgrade pack for free

@abbyhitter People have been waiting over 6 years for the sequel of one of if not the most beloved indie game worldwide that sold hundreds of thousands of copies. The first game was a brilliant masterpiece, of course thered be hype for this one

@Toads-Friend I don't know man, I love how good the game is, but an expensive upgrade (especially if you're buying the game for the 1st time), and STILL also needed to buy an almost 60 dollar Webcam on top of it to get the most out of some kinda lack luster new mini games doesn't seem as compelling as I'd like it to be

@batmanbud2 Used to be crazy about them as a kid. But I hate how they look displayed nowadays, I personally think they look cluttery but I've seen some impressive displays from other people. I don't like buying them anymore but to each their own, I'm glad nintendo is allowing these too

@JR150 If its significant content then it's (kinda) justified. Persona 5 Royal was 60 when it launched while og P5 was 20 at that point. It sucks that there's no upgrade path, but that's just Atlus for you. Not much to be done

@sanderev Doesn't help that Fifa on switch is like the absolute worst way to play Fifa. You're still playing an outdated version of 18 and even then that one wasn't super great

@bring_on_branstons Don't tell me you buy a DVD or Blu-Ray for every single movie you watch. You use Netflix, why? Because its convenient, it let's you try things you weren't sure if you wanted to blow out who knows how many dollars on a movie ticket. Then if you really really like it you are free to buy a DVD for yourself to take up space in your home. Or maybe not, maybe you're a minimalist.

Same concept applies to Game Pass. Convenience, letting you try tons of new things and saving you money. There is nothing inherently bad with it. And at least I personally will never even compare it to how great owning physical games is, because that's how I prefer my games. But your argument is quite silly, instead of attacking all subscription owners, why don't you also see its benefits over buying every single little game you want?

@LikelySatan I seriously doubt they'll make some enhanced version. It'll just be a definitive edition with The Answer and costumes as DLC

@johnedwin if switch owners pay 120 for dual packs of buggy and unfinished pokemon games, I dont think anything would stop them from getting 120 a YEAR of game pass, which is still less than PS Plus Premium at 160 a year

@Ultimapunch Check out the Game Pass catalog, it's got some real gems and big games, it's not all just blind fanboyism
