Re: Soapbox: What The Upcoming Pokémon Switch RPG Can Learn From Recent Pokémon Games

Dijita

I only started playing Pokémon with 6th generation. It came free with my 3DS and I didn’t touch it for 2 years before giving it a go. I was surprised how much I liked the game. I bought Sun, completed it and got into battling (quiet terribly, I might add). I loved how much more approachable breeding was in 7th generation. I’m not a fan of the Ultra Beasts and really wish the franchise didn’t go in that direction for the same reasons that it really changes your view of what Pokémon are. I’ve gone back and played Pokémon yellow and and Pokémon Soul Silver. These games, I agree had a much better narrative and the characters were more likeable or hate able (in a good way).

Re: Splatoon 2 Designer Explains Why The Maps Rotate And Salmon Run Is Time-Limited

I was hesitant at first, but like it now. Here's some of the reasons.

We live in a generation that for the most part we can have anything we want whenever we want, i.e.: streaming tv, music, games, same day delivery with online shopping, etc. As convenient as it is, I miss that "looking forward to something", for example Friday night video rentals... or whatever it may be. With Splatoon 2 I like being able to check in with the app to see the schedule and get excited to play Salmon Run, or Turf War on Humpback Pump Track at a particular time.

The other reason I like it is that because I usually play video games in shorter bursts, It is easier to memorize maps and with this set system.

Re: Response To Descenders On Switch Has Been "Incredible", Says No More Robots

As someone who's first love is mountain biking... I can say that I look forward to trying this game out. My only disappointed is that in the posted video, the animation of the models look very stiff and unnatural. For example, when throwing whips, its all initiated with a slight lean into the jump before take off, followed by the rotation of hips and shoulders. Same with the 360, where the head always leads by looking over the shoulder, whereas in the video, the bike just pops up and spins, which looks awkward AF.
