@justin233 Kingdom is a gorgeous game, and unlike what has been said of this game theres substance to back up the style. It is a slow burner, progress is very gradual but theres so much life and warmth to it.

I love it when this happens, not one to complain buying extra content via DLC but when a developer supports their product by expanding it for free its a damn nice reward, gets me interested in firing the game up again too.

Never noticed any problems performance wise and I got it when it launched...

@Ernest_The_Crab @MisterMan I Probably wont be playing local multi so I suspect I would be disappointed... might wait for a sale πŸ€”

@NewAdvent Im biased, I bought the switch first and foremost to play Isaac. I love the game to death, and I agree, it is a fair bit of cash to throw towards a half decade old game (hello Skyrim?) but it has been updated so many times and refined since its inception. The afterbirth+ iteration is literally packed to the point of bursting with enough content to outlast a few dozen games that are similarly priced.

To be honest only Etg comes close to what Isaac offers but its still much smaller. Genuinely expected gungeon to ship at a higher price, and I would have gladly paid, but Isaac is top dog IMHO.

I wholeheartedly appeal that you consider going against your instincts on this one, Isaac truly is a perfect switch game. Assuming you enjoy roguelikes that is.

Very tempted, hope they iron out the hiccups mentioned in a patch. Probably an unpopular opinion but a smaller roster is a good thing IMHO especially if theyre balanced enough. Will grab a copy soon.

Instantly regretted buying this one, but forced myself to give it a few chances. There's so many little niggling reasons to dislike it. That said it has grown on me since playing some more.

Controls are pretty bad IMHO, theyre the biggest reason for struggling to enjoy it. I have tweaked the FOV and sensitivity options dozens of times to find the best mix (settled with 80 FOV and 41 sensitivity). So long as you don't buy expecting a nice smooth ride you may well enjoy it, there's a threat of having genuine fun when playing I guess I need to adapt and lower expectations to be able to fully enjoy.

Id recommend waiting for it to go on sale, and for a few quid more the infinately superior, deeper and more enjoyable roguelike (Enter the gungeon) came out today in uk.

The way I see it the score is just a symbolic representation of the reviewers' personal enjoyment and how the value correlates with price in their opinion. Plenty of 8 or 9 games out there I won't get because it's not for me, conversely most of the 10tons games get 5 or 6 here but I love playing them and for long periods of time.

Nothing wrong with seeing plenty of 8s or 9s here, I feel theres a clouded sense of weight behind these numbers and some folk perhaps think giving a game a solid recommendation is diluting the meaning of the top scores.

@dadrester Despite having various consoles I have gone through a phase of playing those idle games that swamp the appstore (egg was one of the worst offenders). There's something quite insidious about how compulsive they are, in all honesty this is by far the most enjoyable given the gameplay thats added and the fact it only accrues whilst playing.

Anyone with a passing interest in clicker/idle games will certainly find this enjoyable.

@dadrester You've made a fine game here, glad to see it come to the switch. Any chance you will be adding any extra features/solar systems or upgrades in the future?

Not that there's a lack of content, just been enjoying it and more would be highly welcome πŸ˜€

@onery I didn't get anywhere near all the buildings before NG so have that to look forward to this playthrough. Without spoiling it much, its a combat addition you get which does make the early stages more enjoyable. Not sure if the prices have scaled as well. On third solar system of six and still enjoying the mindless grind.

Should add, you lose everything but achievements gained so far... so fresh start as it were but with that little addition.
