The track in the trailer was briefly removed from Spotify a few weeks ago but came back recently as I listened to it this afternoon. I'd be surprised if it's anything more than a music licensing issue.
I've wanted a controller like this for ages as I wanted to dip in to some GBA games using a Game Boy Player. The price is perfect, just need a UK retailer to stock it now.
A respectable 8 core CPU, 8-12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a 1.6-2 TFLOPS Ampare GPU with a hint of Lovelace sounds a great Switch 2 to me. At least that's how I interpreted the possible specs. That would beat the Steam Deck in many areas. Some articles suggest the T239's GPU has 4 TFLOPS of power which puts it in Xbox Series S and PS4 Pro territory. Although you can't really compare TFLOPS values for GPUs with different architectures. But even with Nintendo's usual underclocking we could be in 5 more years of miracle ports that might not have to compromise that much. I definitely don't want a Switch Pro though, Switch 2 all the way please Ninty.
I love the first 2 games so this is a must buy for me. I just wonder how loading times are/feel. I'd like to buy this on Switch because it's a perfect game for commuting or playing while my wife watching Location Location Location or some b******* like that. But I'm tempted to buy it on Xbox instead as my commuting days are over for the moment and I have no patience when it comes to loading times especially if a game has shorter levels.
I played it on game pass and thought it was all style, no substance. I'd give it 5 or 6 out of 10 but lots of people seem to love it so I might be in the minority on that one.
I'm looking forward to finally finishing this thanks to the new controls. Being left handed, I found the sword controls a nightmare on Wii and gave up on the game. I'd hoped they might add a mirrored control scheme in any port or remake but I'll take more traditional controls π€
@Stocksy The Impossible Lair owes a lot to Duddy's Kong Quest so I think they're well in tune with Duddy π€£. FFS I hate this phone, typos galore π€£
A spiritual successor to Duddy Kong Racing would be fantastic but I'll happily play whatever their new game is after the masterpiece that is The Impossible Lair.
This is game is what my dad calls quality crap. In many ways it's quite bad but I can't stop playing it. I just need to fish out my USB keyboard and an adapter to use it in handheld mode, touchscreen typing on Switch is very sus.
I bought the original back on release in 2013 but lost interest when Rayman Legends came out and completely abandoned it when Super Mario 3D World came along. I was going to wait until the Switch version was on sale like Captain Toad did but this demo has me hooked. I might have to dig out my Wii U or pay full price π. My wife isn't a gamer so old consoles reappearing never goes down well π
@scully1888 "everything runs smoother than a jazz musician shaving his face with butter" is the description of a solid framerate I never knew I needed haha
@nhSnork Haha very true although I did use to feel like there was at least one announcement that appealed to me but the chances of that have dwindled significantly in recent years.
That direct was probably great if you're a fan of those games but disappointing for the rest of us. I'm still glad Nintendo are putting some news out there even if it isn't their own or of interest to me. Hopefully the next one will, a release date for Windjammers 2 would be great news.
Cool, it's essentially a Wii Play Tanks, I might pick this up to go with Super Mario Maker 2 and Team Sonic Racing on payday. Unless CTR gets patched to improve the loading times.
His name is Reggie. He's about kickin' ass, he's about takin' names, and Nintendo is about makin' games... but they're doing it without Reggie! My body is not ready for firepower... I mean news of this magnitude.
I'd really like to get this but being a web developer Human Resource Machine felt too much like work at times haha. Hopefully it'll be on sale soon.
@NintendoFan4Lyf It depends on what you've coded in, I found the previous game's 'code' fairly old school so my coding experience didn't really matter. However it wasn't great for me as a game for switching off after work as per my comment above.
I bought a third party dock for portability reasons that I now won't use. It barely took up any room in my shoulder bag unlike the official dock which takes up half the bag. It opened a world of big screen lunch time FIFA and Mario Kart any day of the week. A world which is now closed to me without bringing a bigger bag to work. In the grand scheme of things it's not a big deal but it's a real shame.
It'd be awesome if Nintendo could produce a smaller travel friendly dock. I would never have bought a third party one if a smaller official option existed. Hell if the official docks were available at RRP at the moment I'd buy one and re-shell it to get what I want.
That's a real shame as my third party dock has been really handy. I'm afraid to use it now as I can't afford to replace my switch or pay for it to be repaired as it's outside warranty.
I got my SNES classic and a set of the cables linked to in the article. The SNES classic is brilliant but the cables are a waste of money. I recommend waiting for 3rd party accessories to catch up or buy long hdmi/power cables instead.
UPDATE - It turns out my power supply was the issue, changing to another one meant the cable worked.

Yoshi's Island is my favourite and I haven't even played the Boomerang cup yet. The music is incredible!
