@AlexanderDaniels I know Vergeben messed up a lot towards the end but I had no doubt in my mind that he didnt leak stuff, I just figured someone was feeding him false info, so I've held out some hope for the Minecraft prediction the whole time
@FRANKLIN_BADGE Listen, I think ur missing something here. Yes it is the best selling game in the world, it's popular with little kids, and microsoft bought it, but calling Minecaft a cash grab is a bit unfair. The game is over a decade old at this point and it still retains a large userbase so clearly it's got some validity for smash. Oh yeah also the game started with a team of two people so it's base intent certainly wasnt a cash grab (kinda dont like the "marketplace" MS recently implemented though). Comparing it to fortnite (which is still a fun game) is unfair for the reasons I listed above in addition to the fact that fortnite started as a much different thing; an attempt at a long standing project failed so to cash in on it, devs for a massive company decided to implement a f2p battle royale with purchasable skins and battle passes, so despite being enjoyable, it fits the "cash grab" descriptor much better
Been reading through comments throughout he day and I must say its sad to know that i've been so happy for all the people begging for banjo, hero, joker, etc despite having never played those series, heck, I'm just happy to get new characters, yet when they add something that my generation in particular is nostalgic for, everyone starts whining like they've ruined the game.
Two other things. 1) it isnt a new or trend game at this point, it's 11 years old 2) Everyone complaining that steve is a blank avatar keeps forgetting villager, or the fact that many characters like duck hunt or wii fit trainer alone dont have too much personality and instead are more a rep of their game as a whole. in this way, steve is a rep of minecraft as a whole
Been so long I stopped following speculation and news. No expectations really and that's great! I mean sure, there are characters that I might want more than others but any new addition I see as a win
Yeah limited release, no galaxy 2, heartbroken... but holy crap as a person who has never gotten to play 64 before, not only have I gotten to re-experience my childhood in HD, but I also am finally able to play 64 and it's soooo good
@Euler this is like how the legendaries (especially gens 4 through 6's) are like gods that control entire aspects of nature yet every ten year has them in their game, except in this case every ten year old will have eight clones of another ten year old's pikachu
Just went and watched it. Yeah, I still don't think I'll be buying it, and honestly I dont know if i'll be playing any new games for a while. If you enjoy the current ones, that's great, but the feeling i got (and still get) playing gens three through six just isnt there in the new games. Things like the wild area show that they definitely want to make things that please fans, and I honestly have hope that the games are going to start getting better again going foward, but right now I just dont enjoy the experience.
@mariomaster96 OH honestly. not only do they have so many assets these side studios could use, but since the lets go formula focuses on just a generation, they have a lot less pressure. not a bad idea, you should pitch it
@Ventilator I think what people miss a lot of the time is that the wii u was not a very big seller, so with ports, a lot of the games that could've sold better on a successful system will get their chance to shine and really sell, possibly creating new fans too. Ports shouldnt be taking the place of new releases tho, but i'll give nintendo the benefit of the doubt this year with COVID
@PBandSmelly breath of the wild landscapes and effects with your standard mobile game anime characters. I think it's going to be plenty different but I see why people felt that way
@mariomaster96 I'd rather they either stop doing as much side stuff or split dev teams and actually spend over a year developing mainline games from now on. Sword and Shield scream potential in so many ways but just ruin it.
Ok so like, I agree with a lot of people about certain levels being nightmares. many get repetitive and Mario slides a lot, making some parkour hard, but WHY does everyone find the sand bird so bad?!?! Even back when I was little and unable to beat the game, the sand bird has never given me any trouble.
I'd say gens 1, 2 and were great and started something amazing, gen 3 really improved on that, gens 4 and 5 were the perfect ones, and gen 6, although not as good as the previous ones, was the last enjoyable one before the games got really boring and lost the adventurous spirit
@Jeronan I kinda said this in another response I had to someone but I dont see how Nintendo could possibly want to break out of the switch formula. They managed to combine both of their markets and attract new people because of the hybrid nature. Really, just performance/technical upgrades would be the way to go, imo
@datamonkey The only Non Performance/Technical improvements for a new model that I would really want would be a motion sensor in the console part of the switch that way VR could become a real possibility.
@Giancarlothomaz My Goodness I hope. I get that nintendo likes switching things up but the switch is such a good design and I dont see how they would want to leave the success of it. There's still plenty of creative and QOL improvements that could be done on the design, plus I hope the next gen is backwards compatible.
@kaiofelipe man, loaning stuff to cousins is rough. A few years back my cousin and I swapped Pokemon games. I got to play through his copy of Platinum and he got to play through my copy of White 2. White 2 ended up being crushed by my younger cousin who allegedly crunched the cartridge somehow by squeezing the Ds. Sucked because that was my favorite game, but on the bright side I got to keep Platinum.
@Rhaoulos haha I can never bring myself to go through a NG+ So much grunting through fights where you're over leveled just to get those last tidbits of stuff

Re: Super Mario All-Stars Is Now Available On Nintendo's Switch Online SNES Service
@Travisemo007 Ditto. I really like the changes to the first game's visuals and music but Mario 3 is just so charming visually in the original.
