@Starwolf_UK: I am just guessing Nintendo maybe won't announce something until E3 but I could be wrong. Also you must remember that Nintendo is a very secretive company but I don't know why they would be secretive with this. Unless they are coming out with some whole new invention.
I never had any issues with memory until SSBB came around. And what you stated about the game only taking 30 blocks and the rest for replays and stuff is true. I saved all of that replay stuff when I played the game to SD Card so I didn't need all of that space. Ever since Brawl came out my memory is getting eatten up.
Nintendo didn't build in a harddrive because they wanted the console to be affordable. Funny thing is when I read "The History of Video Games" written by Steve Kent (excellent book I must add) it was said that Japanesse unlike Americans look into the future. They don't just think until tomorrow but five years from now. Well surely Nintendo did the opposite here with lack of memory.
@Ryan Nicholas: The "Pay to Play" feature just means that you have to pay for DLC if you choose to buy it. There is no wi-fi built in with this game except for just DLC and thats about it. If you read up at comments 47 and 50 a user has explained the DLC.
@CopyofCopyX: I don't have the game but as far from what I heard this game isn't really like a Final Fantasy game. It is more of a Sim game where you build your own kingdom.
I deleted yesterday Paper Mario because of this storage issue in case I get FFCC or for the Wii Fit Channel for when its released here. I am still mad at SSBB for taking 128 blocks when I am not even playing it right now.
I am running out of games I want to put onto SD cards right now. I think Nintendo doesn't want to use Flash Drives or SD cards though since they are so big on piracy.
However, as many people have said with Wii Ware here now there has to be a solution. Hopefully Nintendo will announce something at E3.
How jealous North America shall be. Well when the news was first announced with Dr. Mario before the confusion began I could just imagine how angry people were. I don't care about Dr. Mario though. I hope Europe though does get a good launch.
I owned Super Tennis and when it gets released I will get it again for nostalgia. The game though for its time looks pretty good but now it looks like ***
@Starwolf_UK: Point me to this free flash game, please? I'm quite curious as to why you've belitled a score attack puzzle game to just popping bubbles. I could say Tetris is just about making blocks fall but that would be missing the point of the game entirely.
Tetris is an addicting classic IMHO. If people choose to pay $7 for Pop then fine with me and if they enjoy it all the better. I admit though when I wrote that comment I was wrong with what I thought the game was. However, I still don't think it is worth $7 and I don't have the blocks for it anyways.
I never liked Dr. Mario so I could careless. FFCC takes up to much blocks so I won't download it. I just want the Eating Competition game. I don't think the launch line-up is as week as people say though. You got FFCC in there and this Lost Winds which everbody is hyped about (but I don't care about).
I am shocked at the price of that "Pop" game though. I mean WOW! You are paying $7 to pop bubbles which you could do for free on the internet via flash game. I think that price is digusting and the Castle Defenders should go for $7 and the Pop game go for $7.
Not that I care though I am not interested. I think there should be demos though for these games. The prices of these games are mostly around $10 which is a lot of money to gamble. Especially with the economy right now. The Wii lacks memory and its becoming a horrible problem for me. Until Nintendo solves that issue I will be playing GTAIV. And still will be waiting for the Eating Competition game. Although the Game Show game looks interesting.
Thats the end of my rant. You can't have your cake and eat it too. You have FFCC and maybe next week Mario will come =).
Wow very nice for Europe. I love Metal Slug a lot. After you guys getting only one title a week it seems Nintendo is being good to Europe finally, congrats =).
Well I haven't bought anything on the VC since "Harvest Moon" got released. And I am not suprised about the list at all. When the VC was announced I wanted it to play the games I remembered as a child and also to play on the N64 games I missed. However, those N64 games aren't really coming fast at all. But the thing is that I am hesitant to buy games that I have never played before even if they are said to be good. The reason being is because it can be costly. Maybe if Nintendo would have demos for the games then people would be more willing to purchase the unknown.
But the way I see it is this way. If you are in the middle of nowhere and there is two restaurants. One being McDonalds and the other being some unknown burger joint. Which one do you think people will stray to? The place they know and recognize being McDonalds.
Another week of me not buying a VC game. I really hate the fact that I have got Wii Points stuck in the Wii Shop Channel forever. I guess they will be saved until Wii Ware comes out in May.
Well the Classic Controller was more or less made for the SNES controller. The Wii Remote was made to be easy to use for casuals and to feel the same almost as an NES controller. However, there is no controller that plays the same as the N64 controller. I would rather see Nintendo release a N64 controller for the Wii VC. Then maybe I would bother importing it.
B-O-R-I-N-G! Oh well I guess this is good so I can use my Wii Points towards when Wii Ware comes out =). And I can't wait for Mario Kart Wii to come to North America.
Wowzers its nice to see that Europe gets four games this week. After all those weeks that they got one game. Congrats Europe on the release of the Sega Master System and four games this week =). Hopefully North America will also see a nice release of games this week.
I played a bit of Sonic CD on the Sonic Gems Collection and it was a lot of fun. It would be nice if it did actually come out on the VC if Nintendo did support the Sega CD.
I really want Super Mario RPG to be released on the Virtual Console. I never really got to play it since it got released so late in the SNES life. I only rented it once and then sold off my SNES >=O!
1. Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (SNES) 2. Super Smash Bros. (N64) 3. Golden Eye 007 (N64) 4. Donkey Kong 64 (N64) 5. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles In Time (SNES)
Lets see there is still no VC game I want right now. I guess I will save my Wii Points for Wii Ware games that I want when it comes out in May. If only Super Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros., Super Mario RPG would be released.
Well I got all of the Final Fantasy port games on the PS1 and also Chrono Trigger even with its crazy loading times so I don't mind. There is so many ports of FF games out there that I can see why Square Enix wouldn't release them on the VC. But all I really want is Super Mario RPG! Pleasr Square just release that and I will be happy.
And I might look into Actraiser now since it looks interesting. But I will have to see. But I am not going to buy a game that I will never play in hoping that Square Enix chooses to release Super Mario RPG.
Alright why don't people buy Sonic the Hedgehog 2 which is IMO the best Sonic game ever made! Anyways, the list is well weird with Donkey Kong NES in it and Pac-man well its Pac-man! But I am not suprised to see whats in there except for maybe Operation Wolf.
Alright well Dr. Mario I own on the NES so no thanks. The solitare game I can play that on my computer. The Table Tennis well I got that on Wii Play. As for the Final Fantasy game well I might pick that one up and for the Pokemon game it looks like a maybe.
Well I think that a ton of classics did come out the first year and Nintendo doesn't want to use up all its amo in the first years. The Gamecube did die before the Wii was released due to the titles on it. I guess right now Nintendo figures that they want to space out the good releases. We are getting Mario Kart Wii and Wii Fit soon and SSBB (for the Europeans and people from Australia later on). And with Wiiware Nintendo doesn't want to dump so much on the gamer that they can't afford everything or have to much to play.
The first year for the Wii was excellent interms of sales but I think Nintendo is thinking about the future and who knows how long the WIi will have its ride. So I guess they want to have a plan for later down the road which makes sense. I do agree with your post though Damo although I do whine but it saves me money with bad releases =P.
What a nice Good Friday for the people in Europe as its not so good. The applause at E3 when Nintendo announced the VC was so huge and I was so hyped. And now that I know the way it turned out I am very dissapointed and even more dissapointed how badly it is going for the Europeans at one game a week.
But I hope some of you are very excited for this game which is great and enjoy =).
@retrospekt_au I agree with you 100%. I don't really enjoy Mario 64 much but for its time it was a revolutanory game. And I agree with Damo too that SMW should've been higher up there as I believe IMO that it is a way better game then SMB3. But I think nostalgia has a lot to do with it. And I really enjoyed Super Mario Galaxy as it brought back the magic of Super Mario World.
Honestly I can't even think about getting anything on Wii Ware right now with only four blocks left on my Wii. I was fine except until I got Brawl and Nintendo release something for storage or fix the issue. I won't buy another VC or any Wii Ware games when they come out because I need room for Mario Kart Wii.

If the DLC was $2 or $3 then I would think about getting it but to me personally I think the price is to high. So I won't be purchasing it.
None of these games interest me anyways. And I couldn't download them since I only have four blocks left on my Wii thanks to Brawl. Nintendo needs to release a HDD or something seriously fast because Brawl takes up a crazy large amount of space. But it is worth the space.
I must agree with Stuffgamer1 and also say very well said! I can relate to what you posted about being a long time gamer and when I heard about the VC I was so happy thinking I could play the N64 games I missed. Cool thanks Dazza for posting the links but sadly still no FFCC review which I am waiting for. But I understand seeing how the game is a sim type.

I think that having to buy the game for 1,000 Wii Points and then paying for DLC for 500 Wii points is expensive since its already $15 for a Wii Ware game. For $5 more you could get a Greatest Hits, or a Players Choice game. And also the Wii only has like 512MB of space which is a peanut. Re: US VC Releases - March 10th - DoReMi Fantasy
The DokiDoki Adventure game looks interesting and it looks like it would be fun.
Re: Wii TV Guide channel available for Japanese users
Well I got a PVR which has a built in T.V. guide so I am fine. But still its a cool feature.
@Rossi I love your avatar reminds me so much of when I got my SNES.
Re: US VC Release - March 3rd - Super Turrican
I must agree with Stuffgamer1 and also say very well said! I can relate to what you posted about being a long time gamer and when I heard about the VC I was so happy thinking I could play the N64 games I missed. I never owned an N64 so to this day I haven't really played fully any of the great games it had to offer aside from the Zelda titles and the few I was interested in on the VC. And yet to my dismay I see that there is an embrassing amount of N64 titles and an astronomical amount of NES games. Now I am not insulting the NES as it was an amazing system and saved the video game market. However, the NES games on the VC majority of them are stupid like pinball or Donkey Kong Math. I mean who wants to spend $5 on that when you can pay $10 for something like Majora's Mask (I know thats a controversal game but many people want to see it released). I personally haven't played this weeks released game so I can only trust the review saying its a good game. But shooters aren't my cup of tea and I am happy for the people who are glad this game got released. But when the VC came out Nintendo promised 2~5 games a week or maybe it was 3~5 but whatever. Now without no announcement they are releasing only one game a lot in Europe and twice in North America. Give me a Break!
Re: Japanese Virtual Console list - March 2008
Here I was hoping the VC would bring N64 games that I missed playing and they don't even release barely any. Sooner or later I should buy myself an N64 and collect the games I want to play for it.
Re: Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards
Now I don't know wether I should buy this or not >=O! I never did play Kirby 64 and to put $10 out is a lot to risk.
Re: EU VC Releases - 22nd February - Street Gangs
Its a good week for Europe and you guys are finally getting two games a week finally and not just one
Re: Commodore 64 coming to Virtual Console
Well I never played the Commodore 64 so I can't say what I think of the price point but I wouldn't buy any games even if it did come to North America.
Re: WiiWare dated for US, three titles officially announced
Wii Ware should be good for small developers to release their games which will be good for them. It will also bring some interesting games to the mix so it should be cool. Thanks for the info.
Re: Blades of Steel
I just tried out this game today since someone at school said he used to play it. And wow am I shocked I am no fan of sports games but this game is so much fun. Re: WiiWare Focus: Interview with Nnooo (Pop)
