I'd just like to point out that it is already possible to play gamecube games on Wii U. Hackers have done it. The homebrew app is called devolution. For games that require the analog shoulder trigger, there's a $20 adapter you can buy that let's you use your old GC controller. So there's really no reason nintendo can't put gamecube games on virtual console. If the hackers can do it, so can they.

Yeah. I think it's pretty obvious at this point that nintendo is going to have to carry their own system. But in order to do this, I think they need to increase their in house development studios, by buying some small independent developers and making them first party. Guys like platinum games, monster games, treasure, wayforward, sumo digital, etc.

Double dragon 2 was infinitely better than this. I don't understand why they keep releasing the first one and not the second one. This is why people hack their systems to run emulators.

I think nintendo should just forget about third parties and focus on increasing their own in house development teams. Maybe buying some small independent studios. Like platinum games, monster games, sumo digital, treasure. Then they can carry their own system, without relying on third parties.

And this is why capcom can't go bankrupt soon enough for me. Hopefully nintendo will get megaman so we can have some new games finally.

I'd rather have a new Pokemon Colosseum as well. It's been too long. We didn't even get a console battling game for gen 5. And gen 6 is already out.

Yoshi's island 2 for nds was pretty mediocre. So I don't have high hopes for the sequel. I mostly want:

Bravely default
Kirby triple deluxe
Super smash bros 4
Monster hunter 4

Yes I'm extremely disappointed. I spent the last two week transferring my pokemon from emerald to platinum to black 2, in preparation for the pokebank. Now it was all a waste of time. Screw you, Nintendo

Ugh. Why can't nintendo give any of their other IPs a chance? Why do they keep shoving mario down our throat? I want a new star fox, metroid, f-zero. Not super mario bros 27.

But we did get a new zelda every year from 1998 to 2007. Here's a list:

1998 - ocarina of time
1999 - link's awakening DX
2000 - majora's mask
2001 - oracle of ages/seasons
2002 - a link to the past/four swords

2005 - the minish cap

I already have megaman x collection for gamecube. I want a brand new megaman game.

I would like to see it on 3DS. But I don't think it will reach this goal in just 4 days. If it did, I would buy both Wii U and 3DS versions.

I don't agree with their current approach at all. I'm sick of mario, zelda, pokemon, all the damn time. We haven't seen a new f-zero since 2003. We haven't seen a new star fox since 2005. What is the problem? If they don't have enough teams to make these games, then buy more! Purchase platinum games already. Pick up next level games too.

I'm getting the retail version. So no problem.

I didn't think the 3DS version of sonic generations was a waste of time. I liked it. It had completely different levels from the PS3 version.

Yes please. Retro studios is awesome. I'd love for them to do the next metroid. But what about star fox? Fox McCloud hasn't been seen since 2005. Here's what nintendo should do. Buy platinum games, have them get started on new star fox.

Disappointed. I wanted nintendo to get them. Sega is bad when it comes to localizing games outside Japan. What's the point if SMT x FE gets released but doesn't leave Japan? The Wii U is region locked. So there would be no way to play it.

If it gets released for both Wii U and 3DS, I'll buy both of them.

I'd definitely buy this. I love medabots. They really should bring this over. And while they're at it, bring back the digimon games too!

I want nintendo to get them. Out of all the companies they actually NEED atlus the most. With the Wii U failing miserably and iwata admitting that they're severely understaffed for HD development, atlus could be just what the doctor ordered. Providing nintendo with exclusives and extra resources.

And this is why i want nintendo to buy the megaman IP from capcom. They don't do this kind of doggiep**p**. They actually care about their fans. Capcom can go bankrupt for all I care.

@TheAdza Well nintendo bought monolith soft a few years ago.

Nintendo took too long to release earthbound for me. So I got it on my Wii 3 years ago by running an emulator and rom. I know it's wrong but I got tired of waiting.

Why does capcom think we're content re-buying the same games we've already played hundreds of times? I'm not buying the same games I own just to have it on 3DS. When there's nothing wrong with my gba sp bright. Why won't they give us something new?

I don't plan on buying this either. Ubisoft stabbed nintendo in the back by delaying this and then releasing it on their rivals consoles. I'm not supporting that.

I love megaman. He definitely deserves to be there. I just hope they bring sonic back.

This is nice and all but really, who hasn't already played these old games dozens of times? I still have megaman anniversary collection and megaman x collection for gamecube. I want something new. Why is that so hard?

Don't they sell 32GB SD cards for like $25 now? Just buy one of them.

Yeah this is somewhat true. I was extremely disappointed that kingdom hearts 3 isn't coming to Wii U. So I might end up getting a PS4 just for that. It's a real shame. Because if Wii U got more big name games from third parties, I wouldn't have to waste money on another system. That I otherwise wouldn't buy.

I hope sonic is still in.

I want the hammer suit to come back. It was the most powerful power up next to the star. You could kill thwomps and boos with it. Plus it looked totally baddonkey .
