Re: You're Not Alone in Finding the First Zelda So Hard

BowtieShyGuy

Just completed it yesterday XD

It's hard, especially if you play it without a Overworld Map (since there are no clues in which order to complete the dungeons), but not "Hell-how-should-I-complete-this?" hard. Zelda II -> Yes, but also beatable after getting the Life-Magic and Midoro Palace.

Re: 3DS Price Cut Helps Machine to Huge Sales Hike in Japan

BowtieShyGuy

Just think of it: 250€, for just then 10€ more you could get an iPod Touch with 32 Gigs. Not that it would compare to a 3DS in gaming, but Apple is a bigger brand. And for even less money you could get an Xbox 360 with lots of big games already available. With only 180€ it is now far more argueable to buy one.

I got mine at the release btw.

Re: Talking Point: How Much Fan Influence Should Game Studios Allow?

BowtieShyGuy

The problem with Fans is, that they are not qualified but quantified opinions. I'd really like to see a Zelda with a Future or present day setting, or a HD Mario with a realistic art style, but many fans are just turned off by the idea. If Nintendo would ever like to risk such a step, they can only convince the mass if they don't show anything of it before they are 80% done. (And other than SONIC THE HEDGEHOG and Bomberman Act zero I think that those concepts could work if Nintendo is behind it).

I think the major problem with MML3 is that they didn't release the Prototype. Only die-hard fans registered, which is okay for the first steps in development. But I guess if they released the prototype with a link to the devroom, they would have had the chance to attract gamers which are totally new to the series to join the devroom.

Re: Iwata: We Will Do Paid Download Content for Wii U and 3DS

BowtieShyGuy

I wouldn't be angry if they gave us 16 new and 16 bestof-old tracks in Mario Kart and then charge around 5€ for another retro pack (16 tracks, 20 on GBA and SNES).

But I guess the paid content is more like a move for third-party developers, so that they don't have to do any extra-programming for multi-consoleros.

Re: Talking Point: The GBA Games You Want on 3DS Virtual Console

BowtieShyGuy

Yeah, Starfy would be AWESOME, but it woul require translation and thererfore won't happen.

I'd be happy about any game I don't already have (which is hard, as I own nearly all Nintendo must-haves). Or Wario Land 4. Imo best GBA-Jump'n'Run

I don't think ALttP/FS would make it, since we already get FS or DSiWare in September

Re: FAQ: Nintendo Ambassador Program and Free eShop Games

BowtieShyGuy

I doubt they'll release RPGs for the GBA Ambassadors.

Are you sure that you'll only be able to download ten selected NES Games? I mean, if Nintendo made an emulator for 3DS, they could also release the whole Wii NES VC Games at once.

Anyways, if I get Zelda I, II, Kid Icarus and Punch_out, then I'm happy.

Re: Zelda is No Longer Royalty in Skyward Sword

BowtieShyGuy

I don't know why everyone fusses about the new Zelda. The OT Zelda is fine, but I think changes now and then shouldn't be a mess. It's not the same Link and Zelda in every game (should be clear since WW, was in the games since Zelda II), so why should they always look the same?

The new Zelda remembers me a bit of the ALttP Zelda.

Re: TT Games: "Disney Universe Rips Us Off"

BowtieShyGuy

Well, Lego, then it's time to actually make some new games. I miss the old days of Lego Island, Lego Racers, Lego Island 2, Lego racers 2, Lego Creator or Lego Chess. I really loved those games. But since Lego Star Wars they just redo it over and over, with other movies...

@portista: Don't judge a girl by her looks, especially if it's just clothes

@xnessx: you can get upt to 600 bonus coins... rupees... whatever it's called (isn't told in-game). You get 100 for owning it, 200 for beating it and another 300 for S-ranking verything. If you want to explore everything you're getting ruppes like hay, so you don't really need it. It's only useful if you want to speed run the game, with this you can buy the necessary magic, some magic jam upgrades and still complete it under 2 hours.

Re: Design the Official T-Shirt for Team Chien!

BowtieShyGuy

I have no problem with the fact that Dr. Chien or NL use it for T-Shirts they're going to sell or their web-site. That was kind of obvious.

But the "you agree to forfeit all rights to it including ownership" made me think twice about it. I would have interpreted that line, that my design is no longer within my copyrights. But if I'm still allowed to post it on my web-site or use and alter parts of it for another design (e.g. if I want to re-use a hammer I used as a small part for Dr. Chiens logo), then it's okay for me.

Re: Rumour: Sonic 20th Birthday Pack Not Just Selling 16-Bit Memories

BowtieShyGuy

I don't see why all the people are all about "Sonic in 2D is the only way Sonic should be". Sure, everything after Sonic Adventure 2 was mediocre due to some unwise design decisions.

Maybe it's just because I played them first, but I prefer good 3D Episodes over the 2D ones. I even liked SONIC THE HEDGEHOG, if you can get over fatal bugs and long loading times. A 2D Sonic now and then is okay, but imo it's all the same. Running from A to B and sometimes you have to remember to jump. The 3D Games (before Unleashed) are more dynamical and offer some exploraion elements from time to time.

So I'd really like to see some 3D-Levels of classic Sonic Stages like in SA2, if they aren't overhashed
