@faint Should be interesting to see how people react to Drop It: Block Paradise!, since that I actually have a great graphic designer for it (Actually, he replied in this thread! @Camjo-Z). He did the awesome music for this game too. I'm going all out for Drop It: Block Paradise!

@ULTRA-64 Unlike ZaciSa, there is a sense of progression in this game. As you race and get higher scores, you start to unlock things. Like new Miiverse stamps, new vehicles, new upgrades (like faster bullets, more Fuel to last longer, more speed)

Hello,

I'm always listening to reviews and fans to see how I can improve my games. So any complaint, comment or question is taken seriously by me.

Yep, like ZaciSa before it, I do have plans for post release content! I have an idea for a co-op & VS mode for the game, we will see how that works out.

To answer the controls part, the game was designed with the d-pad in mind.

For leaderboards, I'll fix it so it remembers your last initials.

@ULTRA-64 Thanks! Yep, like ZaciSa before it, I plan to have new updates for the game! At the very least the 1st update will have a new environment as well as new upgrade options.

I also have an idea for a multiplayer mode (both Vs and co-op type modes) that I am thinking of adding.

Glad you liked the new features. Thank you for the review, I am currently working on new free content for the game that will make for an Oct/Nov patch update that will be my attempt to add more flavor to the game and help to evolve the gameplay. This will add some new things, mainly focusing on Local Multiplayer, mainly a new player controlled bot as well as improving the Drones to help make the game little more action-y. This even includes upping the multiplayer to 9 possible people. Even the person on the Gamepad can control a Bot now.

I'll have more details in a few weeks.

@Tate24 Thanks! Glad you are enjoying it.

To be fair to Nintendo Life, their review was of an much earlier version that had it's fair share of issues, to say the least, so I actually worked on it a lot and improved it a great deal, esp when it comes to performance.

@Captain_Gonru Funny you should ask. Patch for NA was just recently approved! Don't have a patch release date, as they are in process of getting things ready (like setting up the servers to handle leaderboards, miiverse, etc). Once I have a date, I will do a big media PR push to let everyone know the release date for the patch.

I am currently thinking it will likely release early next week. I'm really looking forward to everyone's impressions.

Re: Exclusive: eShop Publishers Are Dropping Releases In Germany Due To Low Sales And Cost Of USK Rating

Bloodix

@hansguenther That isn't a really good way to think about this. That example might work for a $10 game (though with Nintendo fee it will be closer to 171+ sold games to get even from rating alone).

For smaller games, like mine that will be closer to 3 euros when it launches. 1200 Euros is a lot. If I had to pay that much for my current rating, it would take at least 571 sold copies to earn back my rating fee for that single country. That in taking into effect Nintendo's cut. That is a lot for a single country. For a small indie like me and others, that is way too much. And for the equivalent $1300+ in USD, that might not do well.

Luckily my game was small enough in size (less then 350MB is the rule I think) , that my rating cost was only 300 Euros. So I only need to sell 145ish to earn back on rating costs. Again, taking into effect Nintendo's cut of sales. So right now this is much more reasonable for me.

All of the above don't even take into the effect of taxes, translations (though not required), resources of getting game ready for EU (& Germany in particular), etc.

Now looking at an early March release for the patch. A few issues were found with the latest submission. (no crashes or anything like that, just guideline issues dealing with online leaderboard stuff). Will be resubmitting the patch in a few days. So currently looking at a early March release for the patch.

On the flip side, knowing these issues helps to make sure that the Europe version, ZaciSa: Defense of the Crayon Dimension!, has a smoother ride when submitting that in a few weeks. Still looking like a late March release. On track.

Re: Feature: A Year in Development - RCMADIAX

@maceng Fair enough. I actually thought the NintendoLife review of the game was fair. I think that review and other things people mentioned at launch helped me as a developer as well as to help me for that game improve it for updates and future games.

Re: Feature: A Year in Development - RCMADIAX

@spizzamarozzi I don't know why you are taking things so personal. They are $1/$2 games. Some of @RCMADIAX games are really fun, esp the BLOK DROP series, IMO. If you are not interested in the games, that is fine. A lot of people are given how many people have now played his games.

The amount of hate I've seen to RCMADIAX is just crazy. Though I've only released 1 game on Wii U so far myself, I have already seen crazy attacks from gamers, some in the form of "Why is Nintendo putting this game on sale but not their own.." or "This $0.99 game on sale should not exist!". Really makes me question people when they stop playing games and end up attacking the developers with some kind of weird obsession as if I or any other dev kicked their puppy.
