The beginning of a new week brings us the European Nintendo Download Update, and this week brings some interesting option. On the Wii U we have a critically acclaimed and stylish puzzle title along with a heavily updated budget release and a DS game, while on 3DS we have the latest SEGA 3D Classic, a Minecraft-inspired release and a couple of demos. Let's get to the details.

Wii U eShop

The Bridge (The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild, €9.99 / £8.99) - An intriguing puzzle title long on the wishlists of some, this has been critically acclaimed on PC in particular. In addition to an eye-catching visual design its puzzles play around with perception and gravity; we'll bring you a review soon.

ZaciSa: Defense of the Crayon Dimensions! (ZeNfA Productions, €1.49 / £1.14 until 27th August, then €2.99 / £2.29) - In comparison to the original release in North America - which will have its own update with extra content - this European version will have "several new maps, game modes, weapons, enemies, online leaderboard, Miiverse integration, stable 60 FPS gameplay and more additions". We were fairly critical in our original review, though those on the fence can consider whether the low price and subsequent updates increase its appeal.

Wii U Virtual Console

Wario: Master of Disguise (Nintendo, €9.99 / £8.99) - The latest DS game to make its way to the Wii U, in this case a quirky combination of platformer and mini-games as Wario plays the thief in 'TV episodes'. While it may sound like a fun idea, we slammed this for multiple issues in our original Wario: Master of Disguise review.

3D Gunstar Heroes (SEGA, €4.99 / £4.49) - An iconic Mega Drive release gets the treatment from M2, with this one being one of the games that established Treasure as an elite arcade-style developer. This colourful run-and-gun game has additional options such as double life and Mega Life to help players reach the end, in addition to local multiplayer. We'll dive in to bring you a review.

Cube Creator 3D (Big John Games, €7.50 / £5.25) - This aims to satisfy two camps in the world of Minecraft-style experiences - in Survival Mode you do the usual exploring, crafting and fighting to stay alive. Creation Mode allows you to create your own worlds and share screens via Miiverse, with various environments to mess around with. It's had some updates since originally launching in North America, and we gave this a recommendation in our Cube Creator 3D review.
