Re: Wii U Power Lacks a 'Generational Leap'

Gaming is an experience.

Graphics add to that experience.

Let's do a little poll.

Two games. One has the same gameplay, same audio, same story, yet the graphics are different. One is bad, one is good.

I doubt that you would enjoy a game that aesthetically looks shocking over a game that looks pretty.

Graphics do matter.

Re: Peter Molyneux 'Not Really Decided' on Wii U GamePad

For those saying that we already have this with the DS line. Yes and no. Yes, two screens are used at the same time, but they are pretty much connected to each other. With the Wii U you have two completely separate screens, and when playing a console game I assume most of you do not look at your controller whilst also looking at the TV.

To those suggesting people can watch 3+ screens at once. While this is true, I doubt they are completely involved in the action on all three screens at the same time. I can have my TV, my laptop, my phone, my 3DS, my Vita, my DS all on at the same time, but I cannot put my full focus into all items.

It's also a prime example of people nitpicking at someone because they're criticizing Nintendo. Molyneux makes valid reasons behind why the Wii U may be an issue for some gamers. Yet rather than taking on board the comments, some revert to commenting on his age, his career, as if those factors reduce his opinion. A lot of people on the forums hold up the argument that we all have our own opinions, so why isn't that the case here?
EDIT: my last point isn't an attack on nfzeta, just was using what he said to turn the mirror onto some here.

Re: Tomb Raider Not Coming to Wii U

^What?

@Gamesake Do you really care that much about what games people might wanna play?

I was always gonna pick this up on PS3 so this changes nothing. Sad for the U though.

Kickstarter is based solely on the charity of others. And I'm sure many people (and I find it myself) quite rude the attitude you bring to the creation of a project.

Yes you can do it all yourself, but I must of missed it in the rulebook where it said you can get help from others.

Re: Pledge to Cloudberry Kingdom, Get It Free on Wii U

You're not paying for the game.

You're paying for:
"We'll hire a full time artist to make the game shine in all its glory.

We'll find an animator to help polish the game and make some awesome cinematics.

If the project gets over funded then we will go really crazy. The AI gets more powerful the more obstacles we design for the game. Every time we add a new obstacle the AI quickly learns how to use it and then can immediately start designing levels with it, combining it with any of the other obstacles already in the game. The same is true for heroes. We can design new heroes, with totally new physics and controls, and the AI will figure out how to design levels specifically for that hero. This leads to an awesome combinatorial explosion of insane potential, and the more funding we get the more material we can give to the AI to make really unique levels and a truly awesome experience."

This is what Kickstarter is for. If you want to buy the game, wait for it to be released. Otherwise, support Pwnee Studios (run by Leslie Knope) and if you contribute enough get a reward.

Re: Talking Point: Should Zelda Go Episodic?

@kkslider5552000 I'm waiting for you to use Mass Effect and Assassins Creed as a rebuttal to Mass Effect and Assassins Creed.

Frankly, I'd love for Zelda to go along this part. Because lets face it, pretty much every Zelda is the same, all that happens is a new coat of paint and a new story is written.

What I would love to see with Zelda (and it's hard now later down the track) is for each game to be completely different from another, ala Final Fantasy. You still keep the basics but change everything else.

You can just use AEST, (Australian Eastern Standard Time). When it isn't daylight savings you get Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane and Tasmania all in one. Then people in Central and Western Australia can easily subtract the time difference.
