@KayFiOS Why would I seethe over them doing articles I'm not interested in? And what's your point? They do a bunch of articles with little to no relevance to the Switch, probably to get more clicks. I never said they didn't, I just pondered why. Seems like you're the one seething, it seems to genuinely bother you that I don't think they should report on every little thing.

@KayFiOS Because it specifically has nothing to do with Nintendo news in my opinion. The Amazon series will most likely have nothing to do with the established game lore and be an original story. That's why it doesn't interest me, it's non canon to the main series so I don't care. If you are interested in it, great, I'm sure you're glad it's been posted. I wouldn't care about them posting about the Castlevania series either unless it was actually adapting the story from one of the games or tying into them, which AFAIK it isn't, thus it wouldn't interest me. Events that happen in it won't be referenced in the future games, so it's basically filler, and not connected to them.
Me asking why a news story about a tv show with little relevance to the game, other than the character name and general appearance, is being reported on, on a site about Nintendo, shouldn't send you into a frenzy of replies trying to justify it. It interests you, it doesn't me. It doesn't need to be here, but some of you might wanna read it. That's fine. I got my answer. I still don't care and would rather they skipped stuff like this and stuck with strictly gaming news. But that doesn't mean I'm trying to make them change what they report on. Asking a question is not telling them what they can and can't post, it was more of a curiosity since this seems to be a specialist site, given the name.

@KayFiOS I didn't say the series wasn't relevant. Seriously can you read? Also I didn't say they couldn't post news about it, just asked why since it's not about the games. This is clearly a specialist website, I'd imagine many TR fans, like myself, don't care about some crappy movie. Keep whining over a little question though. Maybe they'll give you a special trophy.

@KayFiOS Reading isn't your strong point is it? I said "hasn't even been on Nintendo systems much". Vast majority have been Playstation titles. That doesn't mean none of them came out on Nintendo systems. There were a few on Wii, but 1-6 only came with the remasters on Switch. Most of the ones Nintendo got in the past were just the side games, with mainline entries being absent for the most part.

@Sidon_Zora_King I made a single comment and simply replied to a bunch of butt hurt replies to me. All I did was ask why it's here, on a Ninty site. Seems to be your issue, that you're getting oddly defensive of it. Saying what the site is for is kinda obvious, it's called Nintendo Life, Not Games and Movies Life. If you disagree with me then just scroll on, as you say.

@EVIL-C Didn't say they couldn't be, but this is a site for Nintendo news, not movie news based on a game that historically hasn't even been on Nintendo systems much.

@contractcooker But this isn't about a Tomb Raider game. There's Lego games on the Switch but I don't expect news on a Lego movie here.

What's this got to do with Nintendo?

This is cool, getting games to run on the S2s native res. Too bad the S2 screen is a smeary mess in motion. But hey, it looks good when you're not moving.

@TerribleTerabytes Seems.. odd. But still, no matter how small, censorship is censorship. They shouldn't be cutting anything out.

Pity they're charging for the patch since there's nothing new, just bumping the res and framerate. Guess they like Sony's habit of doing this. At least Zelda offered something new.

Switch 2 one doesn't actually run in 4k, only the game HUD does. All the 3d rendering is in 1440p which is no surprise given all the other SW1 games with upgrades to SW2. Ninty calling it 4k is a bit cheeky since it's just the HUD. But it could be worse, like Fast Fusion calling 540p upscaled to 2160p 4k, when it looks like a fuzzy mess in motion.

I have no interest in this, but wish they would bring a Switch 2 patch for Sword/Shield. They were decent games.

Lying about the resolution again. Just like with Fast Fusion. it's about 720p upscaled to 4k, but doesn't look as awful as Fast Fusion as it's not really fast paced.

@Ravenmaster Those vents in the dock that line up go straight through to the holes in the base. The fan doesn't route air through there. Look at any teardown on youtube. The fan cools the dock chipset. The console fan does all the cooling needed.

So the dock blocks the air intakes of the console but you don't put that in the list of cons? Wow what a great review.

@Ravenmaster No it isn't. The cooling fan in the dock is to cool the docks chipset, it doesn't cool the console.

Has to lose some points for the janky performance. Maybe it will run better on Switch 3.

I mean if they got a game a few weeks early I could understand it being a news story. But 3 days? That's nothing. Distribution will have started a while ago. Thousands probably already have their copy.

Another one for turning off ipv6. Wired was getting 360 from my 350 connection, wifi was only 30. Turned off ipv6 and now wifi is 330. Dumb that I even needed to do that. Another really crappy thing is it says it will throttle downloads of playing a game online, well in my experience it won't download any new games or title updates AT ALL if I have a game suspended that uses online in any way. So very stupid, especially when it's not like I'm in the middle of a deathmatch on some pvp game, it's just using the Zelda notes stuff, so would be microscopic on the bandwidth.

@Cotter1 Why would they pretend their machine is faulty and crashing or shutting down? Failures happen, and blaming the victims of lying about it is stupid.

It's like they just threw the 3DS assets into an AI upscaler and called it a day.

Poor list. And MK DD was mid at best. Fight me
