Re: Mini Review: Wonder Boy Anniversary Collection - A Great But Gouging, Exploitative Package

Aquario

I received the SLG physical version a few days ago. As a long-time fan of the series, I’m more than happy with the purchase. The fact that you can now purchase it digitally, with a physical release incoming via Japanese import? Great! More people should have the chance to own this!

Price shouldn’t factor into a review. By that logic, if this drops to $10 in a sale, does that make it the greatest game ever?

Re: GameStop Lists Wolfenstein: Youngblood And Dragon Quest Heroes 1 & 2 For Switch

Aquario

Don't believe all that you read. Gamestop Ireland has listed Dragon Quest Heroes I & II on its website since the European launch of the Switch console. They still say it's coming soon, but the fact of the matter is that it won't, because it's too expensive for third-party developers to distribute a game of this size (almost 32GB).

The Heroes collection is one of the main reasons that I bought the Switch initially, but the fact that we never even got a localized digital version means that it's the expensive Japanese version ($70) or nothing.

Re: Review: V-Rally 4 - A Bumpy Ride That Will Only Reward Dedicated Motorsport Fans

@Gerald Rallycross and buggy races are very good in this, but the rally tracks are so narrow that you'll be bumping rocks in no time, flipping your car multiple times over.

This is as far removed from Sega Rally as can be. In fact, I'm suffering from thrush at the moment and V-rally 4 still manages to irritate me much more. Save your money, this game will plummet in price very soon.

The learning curve and handling are both horrendous in this game. I had high hopes for this, perhaps too high, but as fun as the rallycross and buggy events are, the standard rally mode will crush your enthusiasm as you spin around at every corner (when you don't hit a stone that flips your car right over, that is).

More Dirt Rally than Dirt 4, sadly. Games are supposed to be fun, not a headache and a chore.

Re: Road Redemption Is The Next Best Thing To Road Rash, And It's Out On Switch Now

Aquario

@electrolite77 3DO version still remains a great game! I have it on the original Playstation and the aggressive soundtrack really adds to the feel of the game. The only thing it lacked was a split-screen option. Then it would've been perfect. If Road Redemption can do what Road Rash did back in the day, then I don't know why it's not in my collection yet.

Re: Nintendo Adds Trio Of Games To Switch Online NES Library Next Week

Aquario

Ridiculous strategy by Nintendo to release three NES games per month. For those who are interested in this Netflix-esque service, and not online multiplayer gaming, where is the incentive for them to sign-up now as opposed to 12 months from now when they have more choice (and perhaps more formats)?

Re: Review: Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion (Switch)

Aquario

I wish the reviewer would just be honest with everyone. It takes forever to load when you have to restart and boss battles take ages to load as well. Why don't you tell everyone about all the problems this game has? Big day one patch fixed none of this. Save your money until this is properly fixed, people.

Re: MotoGP 18 Has Raced Its Way Onto Nintendo Switch, Available Today

Played it some more, and despite what seems to be a slight frame rate drop due to the raindrops, I recommend this as Milestone's finest Switch outing to date (and I liked their previous two games also, but this one is faster for sure, and looks better too), even if it makes the Switch very warm. 8/10
