This should be renamed hot take.
I’m pretty sick of games trying to be like movies with “epic” orchestra and what not. As a music producer and someone who grew up with the incredibly 90s/2000s music in games I miss it. This was one of the biggest complaints I had with castlevania: lords of shadow. Ruined the entire cultural vibe

Tee lopes did such a good job on the soundtrack. It really brought it to life and hit my nostalgia harder than taking a shot to the face from beerus

Will likely be missing this one as I run in docked mode mostly. Still rocking the first gen switch with sucky battery life

Just a friendly reminder that Nintendo is doing its own thing entirely and pretending the other market doesn’t exist.

At least they still make great games

@shgamer i was really nervous to hear mercury steam was working on samus returns as I hated mirror of fate and what they did to castlevania as a whole. I was happily surprised with samus returns but I do not want to see them develop anything castlevania related ever again lol.

I don’t like that people usually have to turn to Roms to access legacy content. I just don’t get why these companies are so reluctant to give a platform that people can enjoy their old school games.

How many times have Star Wars movies been re released on every single media platform out there? They know people will buy it just to keep updating their modern library. I get both sides and only come out disappointed either way at what’s become. I just want to have all my games in a single system that will transfer over to new hardware when it becomes available

The point I was trying to make was also strictly from a now 2 generation old console compared to a current one (+- 15 years) and not necessarily how big the companies are.

Nintendo can do it. They just won't.

I'd really like them to ditch the app and integrate a console social infrastructure... tell me why xbox 360 is still more robust than any social interaction than any Nintendo platform.

I'd like a new game mainly in hopes they update the social features for it. I love Nintendo's single player experiences and the gameplay of their online in theory is great, but without trying to beat a dead horse I'm really tired of the inconveniences they throw at you for a full online experience

@NookMiler I think salt was being tossed about because he didn’t care to bring the game to Nintendo or so times have changed and so do people I guess

Why is the headline calling this a metroidvania? This game is nothing like that.

It’s a 2d rogue like where you clear the enemies of every room, no exploration or secrets, though the game is fantastic. I have it on steam
