Kid Icarus Uprising is one of the best handheld games I've ever played and is definitely one of my favorite games of all time, quickly reaching my top five list in the matter of only one weekend. Glad to see it doing well where it counts most.
I just got back from seeing The Artist for the first time and recognized him instantly. Truly a star of a dog! And that's a wonderfully moving film, to boot!
No joke, this is one of the best and most satisfying control schemes I've played in a game in years. It's also one of the longest and deepest downloadable games I've ever played. Haven't been able to put it down since I bought it. Definite 9 from me.
I've never been a fan of achievements. They kind of destroy the immersion when they pop up. And if you have them set not to pop up, there's really little reason to have them there at all.
Even if there were a Virtual Console release, I'm sure that the people complaining about lack of Virtual Console would find reason to complain, probably about game choice, or about lack of a 3DSware release or what have you. I've found those people will never be satisfied and will complain about everything, completely ignoring anything good in the weekly Nintendo downloads. Best to shrug them off. More fun to the rest of us.
Question about these contests: Do previously registered games count? I'd hate to have to buy two new 3DS games just to be eligible for something like this when it comes stateside.
This had better mean it's got a Wii U release. Otherwise, releasing an "Episode 1" without ever following up with a sequel for one third of the fanbase anticipating it is a really big jerk move.
I got this Christmas Eve and have been playing it for over 10 hours a day since. It's amazingly addictive and wonderfully deep, even more than a game of Monopoly. Mario Party 9 is just wacky luck-based fun to be had in short bursts. Fortune Street is for those of us who are the big time board game fans.
I got Fortune Street and by gum I'm hooked. It's amazing how addictive this game is, and as a Monopoly fan it's nice and easy to learn. Weird how it never made it over until now.
Why does Nintendo keep selling things only at GameStop? I, and many others I know, absolutely despise GameStop. Does Nintendo not want people buying their products?
Voice acting would ruin it. As it stands right now, because each of us hears the voices in our heads, the characters express more emotion to us than any voice actor could possibly portray. It's similar to if the Phoenix Wright games had voice acting. The characters become more fictional; entities that exist solely for the sake of the story, instead of characters we project into and relate to.
The most memorable moment in Zelda for me has to be in Wind Waker when Tetra, y'know, and then the King of Red Lions, and then the black and white temple, and this is all extremely paraphrased and impossible not to expound upon without spoiling.
Are the only characters in the game the ones posted on the official site? I'm super excited for this game but always get bummed seeing characters not make the cut, knowing that every character had its own fanbase, no matter how big or small. I'm looking at you, Waluigi and Dry Bones fans. As much as I wanted Rosalina in, you guys need love, too.
A pretty cool idea would have been doing the handheld version of Generations as his past handheld outings. You could start with the Game Gear games and go through the Advance games and end with the Rush games.
I really enjoyed Harvest Moon for a while, but once Rune Factory came out, particularly 3, I was hooked on that forever. I definitely still want this because those colors are just a candied delight and I know I'll like it, but Rune Factory 4 has my attention for now.
Actually it's a crossover between Mario and Dragon Quest with Monopoly gameplay. And it's really freaking fun, I might add. Had plenty of laughs playing an import of the DS one with friends, even though we couldn't read a lot of it.
I bought both SSFIV3DE and DOAD on their release dates and will definitely be picking this up as well. I never miss a fighting game, and this is looking like the best one to be on a handheld ever.
This article needs to be updated with the confirmation that it's coming stateside. The amount of uninformed bitterness in these comments makes me scowl. More than usual.
I hate all you nay-sayers. Just because every game to be in the virtual console library ever didn't come out doesn't mean it's a bad week. I've heard nothing but good things about FreakyForms. Why don't you guys give new things a shot before badmouthing literally everything?
Truly a beautiful movie, I've seen it numerous times now. I wonder if they'll release it on Blu-Ray. I think I'd hold out for that if it was ever announced.
Educational / fitness games aside, last time they created a genre that really swept me off my feet, it was whatever you would call Pikmin. If it's anything like that again, you can consider me excited.
I imagine the changes will make the possibility of four controller compatibility more likely. The only thing I didn't like about what I saw regarding Wii U aside from the name was how only one controller was used at a time. Hopefully that's changed!

Re: Nintendo Leaves BAFTA Empty-Handed
Anyone who claims ANYTHING was more innovative last year than Skyward Sword loses all credibility in my book.

After playing that demo, I have to say that Revelations feels more like 6 than that trailer looks.
