As someone still planning on getting this, it's the blunder of the century. All I, and most Paper Mario fans, want IS another TTYD. Stop with this branching out business and go back to giving us what we all loved about Paper Mario to begin with: an RPG with a great story and lovable characters and environments! Gosh dang. Couldn't even give the Toads in this one hats. Man.
Of note is that you can't setup User accounts for Miis that cannot be edited. That means, if you have any Miis from your 3DS you'd like to play as in Nintendo Land, you've got to first make sure that they're set so that anyone can edit them.
It's pretty terrible. Can't view favorites, can't view likes, can't watch on the gamepad, runs slowly, playlists are limited, can't view by account without subscriptions, can't browse for other videos while a video is playing, can't add to favorites, can't rate, can't nothin'. I complained about this on Miiverse and was accused of being an Xbox fanboy. Go figure.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried about third party developer support once the next Microsoft and Sony platforms are unveiled, but at the same time graphics aren't getting that much better and that's really all that can be improved upon. I do agree that the Wii U is the first next-gen system, but I can only hope the support lasts.
I don't plan on buying any retail games digitally, but for downloadable games this may be an issue. As a matter of fact, the only games taking up space on my Xbox 360's hard drive are games installed from discs to decrease fan noise and speed up load time, but the Wii U seems to have both of those covered without need for installation so that's fine. If downloadable games never get any bigger than they are on Xbox Live Arcade, I should be fine with the 32GB model for a solid couple years or more.
Seriously one of my favorite fighting games ever. I still revisit it frequently. I hope they partner again with Tatsunoko in the future for a sequel some day, unlikely as that might sound.
So I'm wondering if these are the Kuro buttons found in the Fighting Edge or just the usual stock Hori buttons found in their standard, cheaper models. If the former, I'll hop right on this. Otherwise, I'll just wait for a MadCatz TE.
I don't need anything new, necessarily. I'd be content with an HD sequel to GX with online multiplayer. Any new features are just a bonus to the already perfect gameplay.
I don't see how it's a risk considering it'd do better literally everywhere else. And the U.S. just loves its crossovers so it'd be a surefire hit in at least one region.
I actually stayed away from news about this game in order to distance myself from spoiling the experience, but I succumbed to reading this review. Dang, does this look like an atmospheric masterpiece. Gonna have to give it a try after Liberation Maiden this week.
Short length has never been a problem for me as long as the gameplay is superb. Vanquish was my favorite game of 2010 and everybody said that wasn't great because of its short length. Not to mention, this game gives me a huge Zone of the Enders vibe for some reason so I bet it's going to be way fun to play and replay.
Visually and audibly, this game is already disappointing enough for me to have no interest. It's all grimdark bloom and doom nonsense instead of the lush and alive environments of the previous handheld installment, Order of Ecclesia. Gone are the rockin' tunes of past Castlevania games too, replaced with orchestrated "moody" tracks that just sound monotone and uninspired. Wrap it all up with a dull, slow paced combo system instead of the quick whipping action of the past and you've just lost me entirely. Lords of Shadow was immensely underwhelming and just didn't feel anything like a Castlevania game to me. Should the series continue on this route, Harmony of Despair will be the last game in the franchise I consider worthwhile.
Darn. I was all set to buy Wonderful 101 and Rayman Legends. They've said in numerous interviews they'd be available at launch! Curse this "launch window" nonsense!
I'm thoroughly enjoying this on the 360 right now, but might just double dip for Wii U. It's really really good. Sure hope fightsticks come out for Wii U soon.
It would have been super neat if they had a little counter on the main menu that, if you choose to enable it, is constantly counting up how much the worldwide total is in real time with each game save.
Yes please. I'm one of those few who really, really enjoyed Other M. I still think it's more of a core Metroid game than the Prime series (which I also loved!).
Could you guys stop posting things Pachter says on this website? They only serve to irritate everybody due to the unintelligent childlike remarks he makes every day of his life. I see no way that ANY of the articles Nintendolife has put out that are just Pachter quotes actually constitute as news.

Re: Namco Bandai Impressed By Western Interest In Project X Zone
This would sell like crazy over here. We eat up crossovers.
Re: YouTube Workaround Now Needed For Wii U Web Browser
Really awful. I used this to look up walkthroughs and now have to use a workaround? Just terrible.
Re: Vampire Crystals Cuts A Bloody Path To December Release In NA
This looks like my cup of tea. Hope to hear a price soon.
Re: Nintendo Explains Why Nintendo Land Doesn't Include Online Multiplayer
New Super Mario Bros U on the other hand has no explanation
Re: New Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Teaser Site Opens
Though this is likely an iOS port, I'd love if they pulled a surprise like Theatrhythm Dragon Quest.
Re: Wii U And 3DS Firmware Updates Go Live
I just wish they could get that patch up for Sonic Transformed already.

Re: Nintendo Has No New Wii Games In The Pipeline
GOOD. Didn't like how Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 were DS games. Thank heavens at least Nintendo's console front is moving on.

Re: Feature: Wii U Launch Day, Live!
Any word on if you can choose specific things to not transfer? I want to keep Bomberman Blast on the Wii.

Re: Paper Mario: Sticker Star (3DS) Giveaway
Oh whoops. I read this was UK only right when I submit. Ignore that.
Re: Molyneux: "I Struggle To See Anything Amazing Coming Out Of Nintendo"
He has some nerve giving any kind of critique on any video game company after the trainwreck that is the Fable franchise.
Re: First Image of Wii U eShop Surfaces
It sure would be neat if we could scan in credit cards and point cards with NFC.
Re: Nintendo Teams Up With Disney For "Wii U Showdown"
I like how they disabled comments and ratings.

Re: Wii U Will Require Day One Update for Key Features
I'd love to know more about this Wii U Chat thing. If it's anything like Xbox Live parties, we're in business.

Re: Review: Kirby Air Ride (GameCube)
As this is still my all time favorite game, I couldn't disagree with the score more. 9 years later I still play this game more than any other.
Re: Counterfeit Nintendo Games Seller Faces Jail Term
This man's middle name in this context is killing me.
Re: Wii U Pro Controller Lasts 80 Hours On A Single Charge, Not Backwards Compatible
How is it greedy to want a controller with functionality for past games playable its current console?
Re: Wii U Epic Mickey 2 May Not Feature Off-TV Play
This seems very rushed and unpolished. I'd rather they spend more time fine tuning the Wii U version a little. I wouldn't mind a delay.
Re: Watch Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate's Newest Trailer Right Here
Monster Hunter is the only franchise that can get me to buy two of the exact same game at the exact same time.

Re: Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion Will Make Its Way To The eShop
Shame about this being the Wii U launch day. I'll end up asking for it for Christmas, more than likely.
Re: Rayman Legends Won't Arrive Until Q1 2013
I sure hope this means they're polishing out that single player. I was really hoping to get this at launch.

Still don't understand why you guys consider his statements and quotations news.

Re: Iwata: Nintendo Won't Deceive With DLC
Just as long as there is absolutely no DLC in Animal Crossing, I'm good.
Re: Wreck-It Ralph Creators On Working With Nintendo And Sega Characters
It's so heartwarming to know that he's still being called Robotnik.
Absolutely can't wait for this film. Tangled is probably my favorite movie to date, and this being by the same team just bodes oh so well.
