Property board game Fortune Street (Boom Street to Europeans) might not sound like the most exciting upcoming game for Wii, but if this video below doesn't have you jumping for joy when Mario increases his net worth and is able to purchase the bank... well, there's a good chance you're not even human.
Genuinely interesting, however, is the presence of classic Mario and Dragon Quest moments in the trailer: World 1-1 from Super Mario Bros., the celestial train from Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies, Starship Mario from Super Mario Galaxy 2. Oh, and Bowser gets a promotion.
See the whole thrilling video for yourself right now.

"You've stopped at one of your own shops. Spruce things up?"
I can't take any more!
I need this game in my life. I don't have a freaking clue why, but I do.
a mash up between mario party and monopoly?
no thanks
Actually it's a crossover between Mario and Dragon Quest with Monopoly gameplay. And it's really freaking fun, I might add. Had plenty of laughs playing an import of the DS one with friends, even though we couldn't read a lot of it.
Looks pretty dope to me. Just wish had online features.
Yep, really want this. I won't be buying Mario Party because of this game.
<3 They finally bring it to Europe <3
I looooove boardgames & Mario & Dragon Quest!!!
@Gameday
It will have online!
Mario Party + DQ + Culdcept.
I already saw this a couple days ago but thanks for putting it up, the only reason I found it so fast is I keep searching Fortune Street every 5 hours on Youtube.
It's like a huge T 'n' T Board with Mario and Bowser on it!
Any chance this will have decent AI? I'm not sure I have real life friends that would be in to this, but if the computer puts up a challenge, I think I will want this in my collection! By comparison, the Mario Parties have decent fan service but absolutely do not cater to a single player experience.
"Achieve Financial Dominance" — want to stay something quippy here, but I just can't. Definite potential.
Mario Monopoly? ...Naaaah.
Bowser: I'll just have to give myself a PRRRRROMOTION!
I really want this. Looks fantastic. Though, I must admit, a mashup of Final Fantasy characters could have been a bit better considering the recognizable characters compared to DQ- but this is just fine (love DQ more than FF anyways). And I can't wait to hear the soundtrack!
Looks like fun! Nice to see this series finally hit the US! (I think the wonderful sales of DQIX are the cause of this. Oh, and that one plumber guy.)
It's Dragon Quest Characters because the creator of DQ also made this game. When it was part of Enix.
This reminds me of the command boards in KH: BBS.
Looks like a good game that the whole family can get in on. I never heard of this game before but it does look fun. Going to have to pick this up for family game night.
I might get this game, it looks fun.
