@brandonbwii I'm not sure about that particular scenario, but black individuals do commit more crime in the U.S than any other ethnicity, despite only making up about 13% of the population. This isn't racist, it's fact.
"You have a political viewpoint — everything Jon said is factual stuff, mind you — which we disagree with and can't argue, so we'll call you racist instead"
No wonder she got fired. She was your typical SJW. In other words, an idiot.
It's always the same "men this", "men that" arguments floating around. Showcase a female character with little clothing and the developers are sexist pigs. "Censor this, censor that" , or rather, "butcher the artist's vision because this one specific thing makes me uncomfortable". What a load of crap.
Not only was she obsessed, but she also didn't know how to remain professional about things. She was way too vocal and out of bounds, and lo and behold, she got canned.
Nintendo ain't having none of it, and just like the awesome company they are, they put an end to it. Good job, ninty.
Though I still wish N.O.A wasn't as flexible as they have been. The Japanese do this better, and the proof is that there's no SJW or feminist bullcrap over there. They understand that there's nothing wrong with female characters being and looking feminine. It's perfectly natural.
Men and women have been and will always be different, and as such, each have different roles in society. The beauty of a heavily traditional culture that manages to balance things with the modern world is that they'll always stick to their roots; whereas we don't, and that's why we're falling apart.
This caught me off guard. I was not prepared for this at all.
Unfortunately, and as much as I've still to come to terms with this very notion, everything and everyone we've known, know and will know, will eventually cease to exist. It hurts, and I wish it weren't so, but such are the laws of existence--nothing lasts forever.
It's saddening--and that being an understatement--to see the people whom have had an enormous impact on, not only our lives and everything we love, but also on the world of entertainment as a whole, pass away. I wanna scream and claw at the walls, and refuse that harsh truth, but nothing happens.
The impact you've had on millions of people throughout this blue planet of ours will never be forgotten. You, alongside some of the greatest minds in the field, helped steer one of the greatest corporations of all time towards greater success, and have ensured that Nintendo will continue to thrive forever.
Gaming brought me to other forms of media, which, in return, helped unearth an undying passion and pure love for Japanese culture, its people, and their way of life. You're partially responsible for me having found my purpose, which is to spend the rest of my life in the land of the rising sun. Content creators like yourself from that side of the world have done nothing but deliver sheer brilliance, and for that, we thank you.
Yes, I'm a tad disappointed--and I'm sure the fans are as well--that we're not getting a main series Metroid game made by Retro Studios, and that after all these years they chose to throw a spin-off title our way, but saying the game's going to be horrible, and worse yet, demanding it to be cancelled, is ridiculous.
Who knows? They're probably working on a main series game as we speak. Just because they didn't announce a whole bunch of exciting stuff at E3, doesn't mean they won't announce it soon or some other time.
In conclusion: people are jumping the gun and blowing things out of proportions.
@Shotgunryugan You need to buy the "Megaman Zero Collection" for the DS, then. It released in 2010, and my god, it was epic. So much nostalgia from the GBA days.
Megaman Zero!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God this game reminds me so much of that glorious series that graced the GBA and the DS--later released as a collection in 2010. The gameplay looks exactly like it.
Definitely has that fast-paced action feel from Megaman Zero games <3
@Spoony_Tech Alright, but where's the dungeon crawling? Not once did we see actual walking around the game's overworld or anything of the sorts. All you get are dialogue windows with the game's character images on the sides. I searched for gameplay videos of it on YT, but it's also the same thing.
I thought this was an RPG? Looks more like some sort of visual novel, to be honest. Where's the top-down view? Where's your character roaming through the overworld? On, and one more thing: devs need to keep their original dubs into the game. English dubs rarely ever work, and it's the case with this one.
What happened to RPGs? What happened to being immersed in a world with characters that we can care about, suffer with, and live the thrill of adventure with? What happened to all of that?
The Golden Sun games back in the GBA are still my favorite, hands down. Would be nice to come across a title that's equally good, though.
The Last Of Us is a masterpiece of game narrative, immersion, atmosphere and visual presentation. It's one of the best games of this generation, yet, people chose to board the hype train.
Still not as bad as Activision. At least EA didn't butcher Infinity Ward, fire their founders and staff, initiated law-suits against them, milk a franchise to death, and completely ruin whatever initial vision and/or goal the developers had in mind, turning a series that used to be good into a saturated recycling machine. And it's not just IW and Call Of Duty, but also other studios and their games. Activision simply does not care for art and essence. All they see is money, money, money.
At least EA's devs, like DICE, still manage to put out incredible titles, and a few good surprises here and there — Mirror's Edge is a shining jewel in a bedrock of vulgarity, and I'm glad DICE is working on its prequel/reboot — which is something you won't see within the realms of Suckyvision.
Ah, yes. PETA. The folks who refuse to accept the natural order of things along with the food chain.
So what about all the other animals, PETA? Should they go vegan as well? Animals hunt down and kill their prey in all sorts of gruesome ways. Surely they're monsters too! I mean, it's not like their organisms were designed to consume meat or anything. It's not like it's a natural thing, either, right? We're all evil people for eating meat. (sarcasm)
I'm sorry, Ninty, and I really am, but I just had to vote for "The Last of Us" for the "GOTY" and "Best Storytelling" categories. No other game has had such an impact on me and been this emotionally engaging.
But no worries, I'll vote for one of your titles for the "Best Handheld Game" category, still.
What do they mean by "overworld"? The world map? Or how we see things when we're running around town, etc... with our characters? It's still gonna be 3D, even though it's viewed from the top down, right? Can't be 100% 2D
@Gamer83 Perhaps the statements that people who play these games are prone to commit crimes are a bit exaggerated, but the main topic, here, is the fact that there's absolutely no substance whatsoever to the GTA series, which is nothing short of the truth.
I appreciate the sandbox aspect, but other than that I wholeheartedly agree with this man. It's a game that encourages criminal activity, and violent behavior. That's the only thing to it, really.
To make it worse, this decade's generation of gamers are all kids who're getting influenced by these titles and will pretty much grow up with them--unless their brains expand in mass and they move on to other, more proper games.
Gaming has opened up a whole new world of experiences, and adventures I'm sure that when those Japanese geniuses started Nintendo years ago, they knew they were headed in the right direction, and they have ^^
@Arkhamael Well, I didn't know I had comment that offten, to the point where folks remember my comments But oh well.
Actually, I'm just commenting on the fact that, in most cases, the level of creativity, and intricacy of Japanese media content--not limited to games only, but also marketing in general/advertisement "industry"--trumps those of western content. I mean, take a walk around some of Japan's major cities, and you'll realize this. A colorful, lively, and exciting environment.
They know how to leave an impression, a mark. TV Shows, adverts, even the simplest urban elements, and trust me, it shows in video-games as well.

That's what PlayTonic sounds like.

@brandonbwii Oh no, anti-freedom of speech police and sensitive liberals who deem factual information as racism in 3, 2, 1...

What about the 3DS? When will hear any news about its online services? Can you guys do a report on that?
Does anyone have any information?

Re: Interview: Here's Your Chance To Ask The Voice Of Mario Anything You Wish
Aside from characters from the Super Mario franchise, who is your favorite Nintendo character?
Re: Interview: Here's Your Chance To Ask The Voice Of Mario Anything You Wish
Was landing a career in voice acting something you had always wanted? Or did you have other life aspirations in the beginning?

Re: Review: Mega Man Zero 4 (Wii U eShop / Game Boy Advance)
@manu0 Why would you require a VC release if you can just play the game on the 3DS? It supports DS games.

@HeroOfCybertron You do know about the DS' Mega Man Zero Collection, right?
Re: Video: The Top Ten Worst Designed Pokémon Ever
Generation 5 had the worst designs imo. The cheesy, horrible names didn't help it either.
There's one who looks like an actual bag of trash. I'm not even f**king kidding. His name is "Trubbish" also. Seriously. What the f**k.

What about Gameboy Advance games on the 3DS eShop? D:
Re: Feature: Time to Vote For Your Game of the Year 2013
3DS Virtual Console was a no brainer with the Zelda Oracle games.
As for the main event, I'll have to go with A Link Between Worlds.
Absolutely masterful sequel to one of the greatest games of all time. Nintendo proving once again why they're the best in the Japanese gaming scene.
