Following its recent reveal, Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon now has some extended footage; the latest entry in the spin-off series is coming to Japan on 17th September, North America later this year and Europe in early 2016.
This entry follows its predecessors in challenging you to venture through randomly generated dungeons, and you "will battle alongside Legendary and Mythical Pokémon to save the world in a sweeping tale of adventure and mystery" - that certainly sounds grand.
The Pokémon Company has now released a new extended Japanese trailer to show it off, giving us a greater sense of how the 3DS title is shaping up. You can check it out below, so let us know what you think.

This looks amazing, it reminds me of the original PMD games. So far, it appears to be a day one purchase for me.
SO the quiz does comeback
Yes...
Suddenly it seems more promising. Not that it could have been much worse than Gates to Infinity to begin with.
I don't think that was an affinity chart. It looked like maybe a chart of all the Pokemon you let join your team or something like that. I could be wrong. Hopefully we will find out more at E3.
As if this couldn't have been a more obvious day one purchase...!
Hopefully this game will get localised by someone who can actually speak English this time.
It looks really good, and I like how Nintendo is handling free-to-play—especially on Pokémon Shuffle and Rumble World.
@Mus1cLov3r but this game isn't f2p, its a retail game cart...?
That song at the end...
Hype level intensifies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! While it seems the quiz is back I hope that it will let you pick, just incase you don't get the Pokemon you want. But that "Select a Pokemon" circle could well be the partner select screen....But other than that this game looks like it is shaping up quite nicely. All 720 Pokes and a pretty beefy world map by the looks of that brief glance. Also love the look of the New Town. Really excited for this game, can't wait until the later this year.
@Uberchu Uh... But I could've sworn... >.<
The best pokemon will always be #493
I'm glad that the quiz seems to make a comeback. I was so sad when I started Gates to Infinity and it made me choose who I want to be. I love the small moment when you've answered all the questions and you wait to see what you'll get. I hope that this game will have every Pokémon available. Gates to Infinity had such a small selection.
Ok this is looking 30 times better than the last one already.
Also, glad to see the personality quiz is back.
Wailord is it's actual size in this one, definitely buying day one.
Suddenly, Wailord.
@Mus1cLov3r well i got my info from serebii. but im not sure if anybody actually said. havent used the official pokemon website in months.
Wow this game reminds me of the good ol Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team. Hopefully it's actually like those two
Wow that affinity chart seems like a pretty shameless nab from Xenoblade Chronicles.
@icedude545 assuming that it is still like the first two generation of pmd you will be able to swap leaders after you get to a certian and i believe kn dungeon between you're team.
I enjoyed the gba ones as kid so hopefully I'll like this one.
@CaveDweller that game was awesome and this game looks even better. Great time for PMD fans
@TSB Magikarp got that big a number bump? Damn.
Yeah splash is so OP lol. Still though arceus beats mewtwo
@Kalmaro Gates to Infinity was uninspired and uninteresting.
@CaveDweller I believe it had one of the most well developed stories and most endearing characters.
they had Ltd pokemon to work with but they made up for it by making each pokemon you ran into feel important, a well as making the areas you visited feel more lively.
not only that, but the delivery of the story was fantastic. they achieved done very good story telling and being able to see things from different angles other than just a top down view was phenomenal.
This game looks like they are improving on the formula even more so I'm pretty excited. My only complaintz I had with gates were the removal of the A-Ok mail system and the post game content.
Gates had a great story but there wasn't much reason to keep playing too long after it was finished, apart from one obvious mission that I'm not going to spoil.
