We all know that Mario is a pretty super guy, risking his own life on countless occasions to save a princess who never really seems all that grateful for his efforts, but we now have scientific proof that he is indeed a superhero. Not only that, but his physical prowess is so magnificent that he can actually outrun the fastest man on the planet - Usain Bolt.
The revelation comes from a study conducted by Pedro Henrique Evers, a Logistic Engineer student from Joinville, Santa Catarina in Brazil. The study, which is titled 'The Physics of Super Mario World', has gone into great detail to discover the true size, nature, and physics of the world in the game, using those stats to see how Mario would perform on planet Earth.
Pedro’s analysis discovered that the Mushroom Kingdom respects the basic laws of physics, but that its landmass is actually bigger than Jupiter, the largest planet in our Solar System. By converting the gravitational force generated by such a size, Pedro worked out that Mario's world has a gravitation pull that is 5.5 times higher than on Earth. Essentially, if Mario was on our planet, he'd be able to jump an astonishing 28 meters (91 feet) in height.
It was also found that Mario can technically run at 52 km/h when looking at pure, horizontal speed, a number greater than that of the fastest man alive, Usain Bolt. The world-famous sprinter can reach around 44,5 km/h in a race, meaning Mario could theoretically have taken all those gold medals for himself. Somebody needs to sign this guy up for the next Avengers movie.
So there you have it, Mario really is a marvel of our time. Not bad for a plump little plumber, eh?

This is some fine trolling
Also you forgot to mention his super neck strength to support his overly big head and his capacity to jump several times his height.
Also he is a hybrid super cat because he has more than 9 lives.
And people wondered how he can go toe to toe with a certain blue hedgehog.
Wow. Just wow
He is super considering the fact how he Carry’s or where he keeps al those giant gold coins
@Rhaoulos I prefer to think there is a multitude of Mario clones and when he dies that clone is dead for good. Or perhaps a new reality is created each time a Mario dies.
Dude can jump 3-4 times his own height in Super Mario Bros, if that wasn't already indication enough.
Or.... he could just be a videogame character.
He has been squashed/flatten by rocks and he didnt die, he puls a giant dragon and trows it miles away, he can do martial arts like no other. His smash attack matches gokus ultimate Kamehameha 😂.
he can fly like superman, he runs at the Olympics with sonic 😂
He races like a champion, he is a referee at boxing matches (punchout) he is a master at throwing a party (mario party)
He can transform in almost anything. For almost thirty years he didnt age. Is he immortal? 🤣
His jumping skills matches that of the hulk, lol.
And every game he stars in is a succes. (almost sounds like chuck norris his story)
Curious about how he worked out the landmass... was it by placing every level end to end, measuring the total length and extrapolating somehow?
...drugs. Winners don't do drugs; only Mario does.
When Mario jumps he's not pushing his body off the ground. He is pushing the planet down.

How the heck did he come up with this? Bigger than Jupiter?!
@Giygas_95
Hahah this comment 🎉🎊 genius!
@gaga64
Yeah, that was the main thing which jumped out at me, too. But even adding all of the levels together... surely it would be no where near the size of Jupiter? Jupiter is 11.2 times the size of Earth! That would have to be some crazy extrapolation!
Well, that's probably for the best. If Super Mario Bros. was based on real life, Mario would be knocked out after bashing the first block.
Either that or he'd be standing around for hours looking at a Goomba, wondering what the hell it is.
[High-pitched Italian voice] "Eh, Luigi... grab your camera!"
@gaga64 @ooyah Yeah me to, and am I the only one that's thinking that the mushroom kingdom is not a planet, but only one nation on a world with many other kingdoms, as shown in odyssey?
Jumping about 3 meters from standing, jumping several meters long, easily breaking bricks with his bare hands, can slide on EVERY surface, as long as there is a splope, falling from great heights and don't give a cow... I don't know how you can NOT SEE, he is super human! 😲
@ryancraddock you misspelled “Mamma mia” in the tagline 😬
Maybe we should let this guy on a little secret:
Mario isn't real.
As in : Doesn't exists in the real-world.
And now, let's end this news bulletin with more important things... here's a video of a squirrel surfing in a pool....
@The_Mysteron
So that would explain the physics behind the fixed camera.
I thought that was obvious? No real person could jump that high.
#collegeeducation
Well, the dude's been in, what, the past 6 Olympics, both winter and Summer? He's participated in at least 6 different disciplines in each, I mean what did we expect? The next host nation's presentation during the handoff portion of the Rio closing ceremonies even featured him! Of course he's superhuman!
Well yes, and he killed the sun.
So, this guy just've found Mario on VSB/ACF
If gravity is 5.5 times stronger on Jupiter it would mean it is much, MUCH harder for Mario to even get his feet off the ground. Not jump high in the sky
Of course Mario is Super human because his games oftenly written as "Super Mario .....", Not "Ordinary Mario ...." or "Traditional Mario..."
Well, I don't think the franchise would have caught on nearly as well if the games were called Average Joe Bros.
And for those of you wondering how he came up with Jupiter, watch the Game Theory where they discuss his jumping prowess and how he's not even in the top 3 for the Mushroom Kingdom.
He's been Superhuman since 1983, when he could jump from any height and not die, Donkey Kong 1981 is pretty much the only game where he's not super human. just a man who can just manage to jump over barrels.
What about the toads? They look pretty super to me.
@The-Chosen-one
He can go for a dip in lava, and merely have his butt on fire.
Because the "Super" title wasn't a giveaway. Mario doesn't need a silly study to validate his super human status.
@Francema
"What about the toads? They look pretty super to me."
Yes, of course. In Super Mario Galaxy / 3D Land / 3D World , you can even jump on their heads as many as you want and they are still alive.
@PigmaskFan
serieus your comment made me laugh hahah
I’m more worried about the fact that peach and co must be giants considering the mario bros have to eat size altering mushrooms in order to come close to normal height there. Meaning toads are fout to five feet tall then. If the brothers are normal humans before the mushrooms. Let’s not talk about the mega mushroom.
Game Theory covered all of this already
Pretty much every game has increased gravity as well as an increased vertical jump on characters. This isn't anything special.
