I always loved Donkey Kong Country, even though I've only played one. But it still rocks! This is totally awesome, and I am so happy about this. Graphics look incredible

Oh my god I want see this palm tree! I laughed so hard when I read this.

That was so funny. Mostly because I really want to see a Metroid palm tree--like an entire beach party scene with Metroid characters

With Sammy in a bikini. Mmmm .............................. what were we talking about?

The best strategy in the game: go up stairs and pause balls.

Looks absolutely great. I just don't get it why they named it Donkey Kong Country Returns? How about "Donkey Kong Country 4". Moreover, i really hope they adjust the difficulty level on par with previous games (mainly DKC 1).

Yes, When I tell people about Donkey Kong Country Returns, at first, people think it is a remake of the orignal SNES game. Im like NO! It is DKC 4!!!

Can't wait. I loved the snes games and really enjoyed Jungle Beat on the Gamecube too. Wish it was Tokyo studios again but I guess they have been busy lately
Retro are awesome too though so not complaining.

This is the same guy who compared NSMBW to Contra, and he even admits it in the first paragraph. I hope it's hard, but I'll wait to hear it from someone other than Captain Hyperbole.

Well, then again, that was made by Nintendo themselves. This is Retro. And if you've played Metroid Prime, then I think it's safe to say this will be at least fairly difficult.

Day one buy for me, definitely.

I've played Metroid Prime. Only difficulty I had was motivating myself to do all the back tracking. I didn't do the hard mode though.

Certainly not complaining about NSMBW's difficulty though. If DKCR is half that fun (and I think it will be -- Retro's very talented, and DKC is a good series), I'll be satisfied. It's just that NSMBW and Contra are in no way comparable, difficulty-wise.

That could not have been more wrong, lol. NSMBW was a cakewalk compared to Contra.

The hardest mode makes the games a pain :/ And I agree totally with that last part.

I'm glad I didn't try it then! I enjoyed the first two Primes well enough, despite a number of complaints. But I don't like long games to be super difficult.

Actually, its more like New Donkey Kong Country! I think Donkey Kong 64 is considered DKC4. You know, it seems like Nintendo's finally recovering from Rare's departure!
With the Super Mario Galaxy games, New Super Mario Wii, this, and the Goldeneye remake, Nintendo appears to be doing just fine without them!

I'm on the fence, but I just might check this out because it's Donkey Kong and I'm a fan of those arcade games. What are the odds any of the emulated arcade games could get included?
