Topic: Wii U Mario Kart ideas,items etc

ok so we all know eventually they will end up making a new mario kart game for the wii u but what would they add to make it new and fresh or what items you guys think they should add?

i would like to see the special items return like they had in double dash

They should add a career mode and then your character can unlock new car parts. There are coins which you get if you win the race or come 2nd or 3rd. With the coins you can buy new parts as well or trade parts or sell parts online. This would be amazing. Also they should also add in more characters.

I'm not sure about the Special Items concept returning but I'd love to see the Bowser Shell come back and cause absolute mayhem as a '5th or below' item. Remember what it could do in Baby Park? Speaking of, a small 7/8/9-lap course like Baby Park would be nice too.

They should follow in the footsteps on NSMB2 and litter the game with thousands of blue shells.

Mario Kart Wii + Mario Kart 7 = Mario Kart U.
That's what I want. The characters, customization, and stages from MKW with the customization, online, and control of MK7.

They should bring back the proper time trial leaderboards and such from Mario Kart Wii and improve them even further. More tracks would be nice, imagine 64 instead of the now standard 32, but other than that I think Mario Kart 7 is the benchmark. Give me a HD Mario Kart 7 with more tracks and a significantly improved online and I'll be happy.

A level editor for Mario Kart sounds odd..
I would like lots of tracks, karts, bikes and a deep customization system.
Something that really makes every character special.
Also, another thing, is the Character Items from Mario Kart: Double Dash.

I am still waiting for a playable Goomba.

Almost forgot about the thing I want most.. Good internet play.

All I want is better AI and for them to bring back missions. Maybe an enhanced online mode as well.

I bought all the mario kart games except for the last one Mario kart Wii, because it looked so freaking ugly and not polished, it looked like no fun at all.
So my wish for the wii u version is : Nintendo, make it look appealing please, act like you care about the franchise.

Not sure how well a Level editor would go. Part of the charm of new Mario Kart tracks is the way that each one has its own "gimick". The great tracks are the ones that wouldn't be made better by having a second version with different layouts. So I don't get why a level editor would be an awesome addition.

......... It's like the stage editor in Smash Bros Brawl. Sure it was neat and some of the levels that people created were interesting. For the most part though the joy of a level in those games is in it's theme and the skill of the players involved rather than the location of the platforms and turns. Mario Kart isn't a racing simulator, it's a party game that happens to revolve around kart racing.

lol rly? i find that odd in a way since im used to just jumping on the goombas and now having the ability to throw red turtles at it seems mean and weird xD but it would add to the character list so im good either way

how would the editor work though? would you have pre made parts or the ability to make fresh from scratch tracks?

I just want Wario Colliseum and Koopa Beach 1 to return as Retro Courses. And Baby Park would be nice to have again too.
