That kind of logic doesn't translate to other publishers. Nintendo is a publisher where we rarely know anything about games that comes out 3 months ahead.

Fire Emblem is indeed happening.
Please see this 2015 earnings document. (http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/pdf/2015/150129e.pdf) It clearly talks about the game, specifically, forecasts for upcoming titles, including Shin TGIF Fire Emblem XYZ which is set for release in US, Europe and the Far East. Just because a publisher doesn't talk about it a game does not mean it is dead. Lots of publishers use that approach.
So, BAM! FIRE EMBLEM IS HAPPENING. =D

Sony waived its right to renew The Last Guardian trademark. That comes off as an obvious sign that it is not happening.

In particular, I would recommend Captain Toad, Mario Kart 8, Hyrule Warriors, and Child of Light. And if you don't mind more mature titles, ZombiU and Bayonetta 2 are both fantastic.

Mario Kart 8 is the main reason I bought the system for today. Me, my brother, his wife and my sister still play the 64 version regularly. This is and Mario Party 10 are going to be a lot of fun.

Zombi U is a very underrated game. Don't go into it expecting an action based FPS like COD or LFD like many reviewers did as you'll be dissapointed, expect a tough survival horror game though and you'll find that it's probably the best since the original RE games.

Yep. If you can put yourself into that mindset, definitely buy it. One of the most atmospheric games I've ever played.

I wouldn't give up hope quite yet, although I do understand not wanting to be let down. At E3 Nintendo was officially asked about the project, or rather, Intelligent Systems wash which I'm sure you already know. Anyways point being, that was only 8 months ago. As of 8 months ago the game was on schedule. So I think they're just not gonna show the game til they're ready. Probably at this E3 or, could be afterward in an off month like they did with Xenoblade and Hyrule Warriors.
