Topic: What Do You Guys Think About the New PlatinumGames' Announcement?

So as it is that PlatinumGames will be unveiling a new title at the E3 on 16th June,2015. What do you guys think this new game they are announcing could possibly be? PlatinumGames have a very solid working relation with Nintendo and they must be very familiar with Wii U's architecture by now with 3 games for Wii U already - Wonderful 101, Bayonetta 2 and Bayonetta 1 port. But most importantly, with their last game being Bayonetta 2 as a Wii U exclusive, though Nintendo funded do you guys think this game will see a release on Wii U? Or Could it possibly be another of Nintendo Platinum collaboration on the works? Bayonetta 3? I don't think so (God how I wish it were it). What do you think?

A few Important things to Note
Lets see :

• Microsoft has Scalebound as an Exclusive, so I don't think another one. So we can rule out Xbox One Exclusivity.
• If it were to be a Sony exclusive game, it would have rather been on the 15th.
• It Could possibly be a Nintendo Exclusive Cuz Nintendo's on 16th
• ...or a MultiPlatform game.
• Hashimoto has re-tweeted Nintendo's announcement for their digital event at E3, I don't know if this is supposed to mean anything, Well it could.

I think given how well the Bayonetta bundle (Bayonetta 2 with a free copy of Bayonetta) was received, I think they'll do the same thing for Vanquish (Vanquish 2 with free copy of Vanquish) or a new IP.

They have a ton on stuff in the pipeline for all platforms so I can't really make a prediction.
The idiot in me wants to believe it is a new Castle of Murasame game for WiiU though.

That would be pretty neat. I never understood why Nintendo didn't do more with this game. It's basically a more difficult and action oriented Zelda game, or at least it could be. The Wii U could definitely use some more adventure games.

I think the most likely thing is Metal Gear Rising 2. It's their best selling game and it was already sort of teased at the Tokyo Game Show, I think it was.

But a Nintendo game would be cool.

I don't think anything, speculation is bad for the heart.

If this game is a MultiPlatform game I really want this to come to Wii U as PlatinumGames have become one of my favourite developers. A Nintendo exclusive would be awesome. But I have a bad feeling that if it is a MultiPlat and a mature title it's going to skip Wii U for the sake of sale (Not like their games have sold well, though most being critically acclaimed) and I could understand their decision but would be totally disappointed . But if it did end up on Wii U, I would 1up the respect for them. and I read somewhere that someone at Platinumgames were ready for salty tears or something over the announcement ? So by that it's either the PS4 and Xbone fan's salty tears like last time with Bayonetta 2 or Nintendo fan's with their latest game not on Wii U. Plz don't be the latter

Of course I'm hoping that it will be a Nintendo game or multiplatform, but honestly its Platinum...I'll likely buy it no matter what.

Well Platinum IS one of the only companies to not get that Sony money...(this isn't an anti-sony statement, just a reality of Sony's current strategy for gaming)

I personally want more stuff like Wonderful 101. Quite honestly it's my favorite game of theirs (unless you count the original Viewtiful Joe), and it could be improved in some ways. Also Hideki said he wanted a spinoff game with Wonder Blue.

Wonderful 102, the sequel to Wonderful 101 but with a bigger focus on co-op, including needing to form certain shapes together to make certain weapons.

I'm not as big on Platinum as some folks here - I though Bayonetta 2 was a nice game, but not the best thing ever, while Wonderful 101 had a great premise and a lot of potential, yet ended up flawed. Still, I'd like to see this announced for Wii U, especially if it's more adventure than action-oriented.

Yeah, but all "leaks" thus far are more than likely fanboy/girl wishlists baiting with E3 hype. Wouldn't mind that though.

Platinum aren't tied down to a publisher, so they'll be making a game for whoever pays them. How well received a game is has nothing to do with it. No developer as big as them is going to self-fund a game. I think with it being on the same day as the Nintendo event it could be for Wii U, but they could also be doing some for Square-Enix. Either way, I'm excited as I'll eventually have all 3 systems!

Don't speak that into existence...I can NOT go buy a 5th 3ds.
