So if you follow the links to the original article it says April Fools in the article... just ctrl+f for it. It is hard to read (dark gray on a gray background)

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Lol, I wish I would have seen that sooner. Not like I got my hopes up or anything anyway. April Fools two weeks ahead of time though..?

Figured that's what it was.

Not sure if the TC knew that and was just trying to troll people here, or was just blissfully unaware.

Rumor: Websites trust too many people and don't check their sources.

Pretty certain EA is not going to go to the trouble to port Titanfall over to the U in order to sell a small amount of extra copies. I would start to accept the reality that we may not see any more big 3rd party titles hit the U, unless Nintendo pays for the title to be made, ala Bayonetta 2, or they make some sort of exclusive deal.

I can't see why anyone with a Wii U would even want this game. Online only shooter? Would you even have a big enough community to sustain interest for more than six months? I'm not convinced this game will be played that long on the launch platform!

Good point. However, if Titan Fall WAS on Wii U, I could see some potential Xbox One buyers buying a Wii U, instead. If they don't have to pay for Xbox Live on a game they plan on playing online alot, all they would need is the console, the game, and then there's the GamePad.

IF Titan Fall was on Wii U, I do wonder what GamePad features there would be.
I even think what it would be like if I had an Xbox One instead of a Wii U. I like both consoles well enough that I could see myself having an Xbox One, instead of a Wii U, but I tend to always favor Smash Bros. and MK over the currently unannounced games that I would buy on Xbox One.

Even if a port of Titanfall had been funded by a kickstarter of 500,000 Wii U owners, EA would refuse to make it and Microsoft would probably has some complaints too.

I only posted this to get my avatar as the forum's thumbnail.

If Titanfall came to the Wii U, I might get it someday, but the chances of that are slim.

Titanfall looks cool, but I can play first-person shooters on just about anything and aside from that, I can play online multiplayer shooters as well. Titanfall lacking an offline mode and no campaign ultimately make it a game I'm wary of purchasing simply because the king of FPS games, Call of Duty, has it's yearly outing which is bound to sell more copies allowing for more players and more game variety. Saying that, I didn't get Ghosts because I have Black Ops II and there's not enough difference between what I'd be doing to warrant a purchase so soon in my opinion.

I dunno.

Of course, this isn't going to happen, so it doesn't matter what I think.

EDIT: Silly me for posting this while only reading the first page of posts! Someone did an April Fails joke.

I am 99.99999% sure this will never happen. If it does, however, I would probably buy it.

Well, the "April Fool's" at the bottom of the "source" should make that 100%

This is an embarrassing piece of internet trolling. This original site should ashamed. An April Fools in mid-March is a reprehensible method of pranking. Especially in the case of a website masquerading as a source of information. Not that I care, personally, but it disgusts me that people are so self-serving and presumptuous to forge apparent "journalistic" websites without a lick of compassion for the traffic willing to visit... If someone is willing to waste time to come to your site and actually read your words, they should be treated with the utmost respect and appreciation.

In all honesty, I think most "sources" are bogus anyway. Some websites will pull anything from their donkeys to try to make a "rumor"

But the Xbox version would still have

-a much higher player base
-dedicated Servers
-your friends are probably on that one
-Twitch support.

People keep spouting off free online like its an actual selling point when the service isn't that great.
