most people are dismissing it outright but here are a few reasons why I think it might actually be happening
I'm not expert and please fell free to correct or clear up anything I say
from the best of my understanding MS has a deal with EA for exclusivity for the IP, dating from 2012. if MS is allowing the IP do go to Nintendo I think they might be doing it to take a jab at Sony. The PS4 isn't selling so well in Japan and a great Mech game on the Wii U might push Nintendo over the top in the JP region. since the Xbox one isn't in that region it doesn't matter but it still makes Sony look bad. I know japanese gamers don't care for FPS but this is a mech fps and they love mechs
additionally I'm sure MS will get some of the money Nintendo is paying EA for it.
so it's a win/win for MS. they indirectly weaken their main rival in their home region and get some money to boot.
yes I know all this is very unlikely but it is within the realm of possibility.
The deal was very “hush-hush” in order to prevent a decline in sales with the Xbox One version, with only a “handful of developers and executives in the know of the deal.”
Wii U causing a decline in Xbox One sale, yeah very believable...
Btw the whole idea of April Fools is to do it on the 1st of April. Someone obviously didn't get the memo.
That just doesn't make any sense. Maybe a Titanfall sequel could come to Wii U but it is highly unlikely for Titanfall to come to Wii U especially so soon. It is also unlikely that no one made a big deal about this sooner. If Nintendo did get a Titanfall on Wii U deal it would have been better to announce this before Titanfall came out on Xbox One (for a sales boost)
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Titanfall is going to remain on the Xbox One. Nintendo is the one that's going to make the title that'll be the "must-have" on the Wii U this year, and it's a bit disappointing that they're taking their time to reveal that possible title.
"The secret to ultimate power lies in the Alimbic Cluster."
Saying that its not impossible is like saying the sun imploding tomorrow is not impossible. Except that the sun actually will implode before Nintendo pays EA for Titanfall.
@Unca_Lz Yeah... EA is pretty awful...
I remember them saying that they were confused about why they were called the "Worst Company in America" and wanted to change that. Well, they could start by making an effort. (To keep this on topic) I do think Titanfall might be a bit much to ask for, especially considering the exclusive contract with microsoft, but I think there are plenty of EA franchises that could do well on Wii U if the effort was put into it. You could literally draw out your plays for Madden, but also make the rest of the game up to date. Games like The Sims, SimCity and Spore, I think, could also do well on Wii U. But, instead of making an effort, they just gave up.
Though I doubt this, I do think that Titanfall on the Wii U might actually boost Wii U sales in Japan. As stated before, it's a mech game. They really like that stuff. Heck, I'd probably buy it if it came to Wii U since I don't own an 360 or One. It wouldn't be terrible if this was true, it would show that Nintendo realizes it's having trouble with AAA third party titles and this could be an attempt to fix that. It would also mean that future games wouldn't be out of the picture for the Wii U.. like Battlefront 3.
Wii U would easily be able to run the 360 port of Titanfall. The Wii U port is supposedly being done by the same people porting the 360 version.
@DudeSean I think Spore would be amazing on the Wii U. It fits Nintendo so well and the Gamepad could possibly allow much more creativity when you're making your creatures. I've been wanting a Spore sequel for a while.. I would love to see one come to the Wii U.
