Topic: Some news regarding the state of the Wii VC

I contacted Nintendo regarding whether or not the plan to release anymore games on the service and got a hopeful response stating that "we are aware of the lack of support for the service and apologise for any inconveniences this may cause however there are a few games scheduled for release this holiday season."

There was more but it was just standard cookie cutter fare.
So what games do you think will be released?

I'm guessing Monster world IV translated and possibly Lufia.
Other than those two there's nothing else that thrilling on the coming soon list.
They could blow our minds with something really cool like say... Earthbound? Nah fat chance of that.
Guess we'll have to wait and see what the virtual santa has in store for us.
Good news they haven't totally abandoned it though.

Yeah we'll probably be seeing stuff like Mega Man X2 and Lufia this Christmas. Nintendo likes to release a first party title around that time too so we might see something like Mario Party 3.

In North America, we still don't have Adventure Island II (NES).
I guess that's coming whenever PAL regions get Mega Man 5 and X.
Hopefully their "upcoming games" is a little more exciting than playing catch-up.

God I hope so! The best Mario Party game IMO and I would love to have it on VC. Also I want Mario Party 1.

There are more then a few here's a list of all the ones that are confirmed upcoming games in NA |D

Lufia
Adventure Island II (nes)
Megaman X2
Wonderboy in Monsterland IV

So there are at least four that are at least still scheduled to be released on the American virtual console |D

Hopefully we see some games we actually care about. Not some obscure arcade or Neo Geo games (nothing against arcade or Neo Geo)

They did the same the last 3 years (in different intensities), so I already expected a drought followed by a good Holiday season on VC. I also think they will match Christmas week with the 400th release being a great first party game, and at most other 2 good games in this season with the rest being obscure games, mostly NeoGeo catch up with Japan.
