I go back and forth between my favorite system but as of right now it's the SNES with the NES in a oh-so close second and the Wii in a distant third. N64 and Gamecube Ape escaped me and I don't want to pull a Marty McFly and go Back to the Future with those because there are enough NES and SNES games to keep this guy busy.

The Wii is my favorite, of course. The Wii's the ultimate Nintendo console. It plays NES, SNES, N64, and GameCube plus you get the Wii stuff as well.

@rancidvomit86 because teleroboxer and virtual boy wario land were only decent. You can't expect one or two games to carry an entire console.

The Wii would probably win due to having great games and the VC, but, without the VC, and going by how great each system was to me during their time...probably Nintendo 64, very closely followed by SNES

Mario Clash wasnt too bad either.

With that said my favorite Nintendo system would have to be the SNES followed by the NES. I cant count the countless hours I spent playing games on those two systems with their killer libraries. While the Wii is good their aren't that many Wii exclusive games that I like mostly I just play the VC games on the Wii of games that I never owned or lost from back in the NES and SNES era. As for the N64 and Gamecube once again not two many exclusive games on either of those systems that had my attention.

In terms of exclusive library, my favorite would be the Nintendo DS. I love a lot of titles from that selection, and surprising to myself as I experienced the system, my favorites were a variety of genres. To name several, there are New Super Mario Brothers for platforming, Super Scribblenauts for puzzle, Metroid Prime Hunters for first person shooter adventure, Dementium for survival horror, Pokemon Black for RPG, Animal Crossing Wild World for simulation and ATV Wild Ride for racing. If I were asked to only own one game system though and get rid of the rest, I wouldn't know whether to go with my 3DS or Wii due to the quality of their exclusive libraries (both are excellent) and the content from past generations that they each access.

Favorite Game: Metroid Prime Hunters, Xenoblade Chronicles

A good argument.

Logic aside, my favorite is NES. I played SNES a lot more than NES, but the NES holds that special place in my heart.

And people that chooses N64 and especially Game Cube for the fond childhood memories they bring are making me feel a lot older than I am. =P

I didn't have an SNES but after playing many great SNES games off of the VC, I would say that the SNES is my favorite.

As much as I'd like to say SNES for the sake of nostalgia, I'd have to say the DS - it has an amazingly broad library with a lot of depth (i.e. multiple quality games across a wide variety of genres). I've really enjoyed my experiences with it so far, and I've still got another, oh, 160-odd games that I've bought and haven't played yet.

I used to have a blog link here. I'll put it back up when the blog has something to read.

Wii. It has some of the greatest games ever made that you won't find on any other console, and it plays GameCube games. Plus you can download a ton of classic games on the Virtual Console from many different systems.

Close between the SNES and N64, but I think the N64 wins it... Banjo Kazooie made me love that thing more

I'm currently tossing between the NES & SNES.....I love them both oh so donatello dearly for too many amazing gnarly memories and bogusly brilliant games to count. But still, Super Mario Bros 2(The most magical 8-bit gaming experience of my child hood back in 89', it was just so different from the Mario Norm and superior i find to even SMB3), Punch-Out!!, Kid Icarus, Mega Man 2, Ninja Gaiden, Contra, TMNT II, LOZ ect ect had such a massive impact on me.

I could easily the same for the SNES, especially with Super Mario World(Unbelievable 8-16 bit transaition as we all know it. :D ) And I'll admit, the Genesis didn't exactly have any pizaz' or wow factor when i bought it. Ya, Castle of illusion was stellar, Streets of Rage was brawlin with one killer soundtrack to boot, and Sonic was.....was....Horrible? :p What I'm getting at is not ONE genesis game out of the many that i played could even match the brilliance and magic of Super mario world and that's only one example. Even the 'watch only' gaming sessions with Zelda ALLTP, Final Fantasy III and Super Metroid made my Genesis look like a gritty personality-less, dark, depressing, ancient, less colorfull, muffled satan sounding dated piece of ALF dookie. Don't get me wrong like a Double D III typo, i like the Mega Drive but it just didn't really deliver the quality of most SNES games.

Anyways! And my love for the wii will always Wiiiiiiiiiii, i mean beeeeee. :p Phenomenal console, and i adore motion controls when done properly, the VC, the retro rebirth revival and the Nintendo exclusives that whiped the floor all over the GCN Nintendo games.

NES > SNES > Wii >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> A distant 4th into the galaxy of unknown ' GCN' > N64.

The 3DS is number 1, followed by the GameBoy. B-)
StereoScopic 3D is just too bloody amazing and breaths new life into these games....RE:Revelations looks outstanding, it's like looking through a window into another virtual world. Can't wait to experience it on my Xl which i'll be getting in a couple of weeks. :D Plus it has the Portabal Virtual Console, and being
able to play these games with a GB/GBC boarder around the screen with it's neat little 3D effect is very very cool.

The GBA i've got to say completely escaped me after it's launch. Bought Super Mario Advance, Chu Chu Rocket and Mario Kart: Super Circuit but that was it honestly, it was during a time where i was in and out of gaming and portables just weren't my General Tragg-Thang if you catch my swift drift.
The DS on the other hand was quite the little innovative revolution in hand held gaming. Kirby Canvas BLEW me away with how you played the game with the stylus and touch screen, and that was just one teeny weeny little example among the many. and it's got Contra 4 Need i say more? B-)

For the GBA as of late, I've played Mega Man Zero, Wario Land 4 and Mega Man & Bass and they were all Fabtastic! I think it's safe to say that the GB, GBA, DS and 3DS are all amazing hand helds, yet there's the GBC which i feel personally had the weakest selection of 'color' games.
