I might get some hate for saying this, but gamecube. And not because of sunshine. And I also loved the GBA. After that it would be the 64.
Edit:never mind, looks like I'm not alone :D

@Mickeymac, ouch, well we can share it c:

@Happy_Mask, you're definitely not alone. Gamecube was awesome. I also loved my GBA.

I don't care if it "had bad sales" "was the worst selling Nintendo system ever" or that it "lost the console war." None of that matters to me. It had THE BEST game library. Although the SNES is still legendary.

I'll always remember how each of the main series Nintendo games took such risks and really stood out as being different. Almost none of them were recieved well at first either. Super Mario Sunshine, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Kirby's Air Ride, Metroid Prime, Mario Kart: Double Dash.

They all did something completely different.

Not to mention a lot of amazing series getting their start on Gamecube, or also making their worldwide debut.
Animal Crossing, Luigi's Mansion, Pikmin.

I also think despite popular belief that the third party support was at its strongest for the Gamecube.

So yeah, I love that little "toy" that could. :*

I believe in make believe~

NES no question! With the SNES blazing not too far behind. B-)
Didn't care for too much for the N64 or GCN after their first year run. Experiencing Mario 64 at the PNE for the first time was absolutely amazing(not as amazing as Super Mario world mind you, at least for me) along with Luigi's Mansion, which i played at a mini GCN Party outside of Playdium which graphically blew me away with those shnazzy cloth physics and how you used to C-stick to manouver Luigi's Vacume cleaner. :p

Anyways, I've got no desire to even collect N64 of GCN games, that time period were dark days for the retro gamer in mind...It's like Nintendo snipped off my mega mullet, stole my Fraggle Rock VHS tapes, dunked Fido Dido 7-Up all over my head and ripped away evrything i loved about gaming in the firt place. :p When the Wii launched i was back in gaming heaven. :D

Bah, i'll take Super Mario Kart and even Super Circuit over Double Dash any day of the Whacky Waldo week. :p SMK was outstanding when it came out, pretty amazing stuff and it still holds up. No other mario kart has the same distinct charm of the SNES original if you ask me. Plus there was more emphasis on racing rather than Blue shelling your opponent into unfair oblivion. lol And i'd say Melee definitly has quicker gameplay/physics, superior and controllable air dodging and a better 'Targets' mode, but at the end of the day Brawl does everything else better....However, I'll admit Brawl totaly dissapointed me at first because of the nerfed air dodging, but i learnt to accept it as the danny tanner days flew by!

But yesss, I have a hard time going back to Melee, it just feels a bit empty and lifeless in comparison...:p

Thats a very hard one. I'd have to say between SNES and Gamecube. Super Mario Allstars and Super Mario Kart. And Super Mario Sunshine Plus Super Smash Bros. Melee. I never got tired of those games. :)

My favourite will always be the SNES as it was my first console, I spent so many hours / days / weeks / months / years of my life playing games on the SNES that nothing else will compare.

In a close 2nd I would say the Wii, it was the console that gave us Galaxy 1&2 plus quite a few others gems (I think the wii has a better library of games than people give it credit for. Imagine buying one now if you'd never owned one, there are loads of great games to play through)

Another reason I love the Wii is for the Virtual Console, being able to go back and play all those retro games (without having to dust old consoles off from the loft) was groundbreaking at the time.

I'm not a massive N64 fan, the only games that were must haves for me are Mario 64 and Kart 64, both of which I have via the VC on Wii

Unfortunately I have no love whatsoever for the GameCube. I guess it was released around the time of my life when I lost interest in Video games for a short period, I would have been around 20 years of ages and was simply more interested in going out socialising with friends and chasing Girls etc lol. Also I already owned a PS2 which was enough for me at the time.

By the time the Wii was due for release things had settled down and I was starting to get back into it all and I've been a massive gaming fan ever since :-)

I've been playing Nintendo since 1986. But when the N64 came out, that "fun machine" & video games found a very special place in my heart that still exists today. therefore it's my fave.

SNES or N64 because they are the first systems I have ever played when I was about 3 or 4 years old. After that I fell in love with Nintendo and Rare. (:

You and me both! :P During the GCN era i practically lost interest in gaming all together as i was more concerned about getting my Funk on, drinking, partying and getting anihilated too many Nights to count. I still kept up here and there based on what was going on with the little purple lunch box ala' IGN. I got a taste of the cube at a mini pre-launch party while being blown away by Luigi's Mansion and StarWars Rogue Leader, while being wowed by the unique feel of the controller and unusual but totaly awesome bean shaped button layout accompinied by the big 'A' button. Which then afterwards lead to a Gamecube Christmas i guess you could say. During that time period, I played Luigi's Mansion, Rogue Leader II, SSB Melee, Resident Evil Remake, RE Zero, F-Zero GX, Metroid Prime, Soul Calibur II, Monkey Ball 2, Viewtiful Joe, Wind Waker and a couple of others. BUt it was Resident Evil 4 that grabbed my attention during the mid-endish of the GCN's run where i just HAD to re-buy another Cube, which would of been my 3rd considering i sold the previous two to support my Beer & partying habbits haha. Kidding aside, i was really in and out during that genertaion.

As for the previous generation, I was more into the Playstation during those iffy N64 days, Nintendo never gave me the next big 64 bit sprite based sidescroller. Everything was a big polygon riddled 'trying to be the next big 3D platformer' feisto So i had to get part of that retro sprite fix on the playstation with Mega Man 8, Rayman, Tomba!, Mega Man X4 ect ect. And aside from absolutely loving the playstation launch, the following years that continued didn't tickle this wavesters fancy but i could easily say the same out the N64.

Standout titles that i experienced during both generations B-)

PSX
Rayman
Jumping Flash!
Tomba!
Resident Evil
Mega Man 8
Mega Man X4

N64
Super Mario 64 - (Groundbreaking, revolutionary, but at the same time, barren, lacking that mario magic, detail and charm of World)
PilotWings 64
Golden Eye 007 - (not a fan of it at all anymore)
StarFox 64 - (ahem...Watching my friend play. Rumble Pack! :p)

GCN
Luigi's Mansion
StarWars Rogue Leader II
SSB Melee

Zelda OOT and Majora's Mask completely escaped me. My friends always seemed to have a blast with Mario Kart 64 and Mario Party, but i could never get into either for some odd reason. mini games never interested me beforehand and Mario Kart 64 for me was such a big dissapointment in comparison to the original. Had nintendo opted for 64-bit sprites i have a feeling my opinion would be the complete opposite, not only that it would of aged perfectly. But anyways! Like you, the Wii got me back into gaming....Phenomenal console, with revolutionary motion controls that completely blew me away and still do, of course when done right. As far as Nintendo consoles go, the NES, SNES and Wii are all i need. I'm perfectly fine without the N64 and GCN.
