The Torchlight 2 Beta has been quite fun thus far. I have started out trying the embermage. I am not sure if I really like the skill trees, they just seem a bit too large and the starting skills aren't really that interesting. The game starts out very easy on normal, but it does start to get a bit more difficult once you get beyond level 10 or so. So far I have not seen any sort of puzzles or switch elements, just the odd trap when you open a certain chest or something, which is rather disappointing. Oh, I must also say that how some of the spells amplify certain elements is a nice tough for combo-ing and i hope to see more of this.

So, I was at my local Gamestop earlier today picking up my Mario Tennis Open, and I saw them selling a new type of cash card there. Steam cash cards, for $20 or $50. I don't have any proof, but they were there. Anyone see these?

Has anyone either seen these Steam cards in Canada or know if they work in Canada?

Is CS:GO probably going to be free when it's released?

@EmpireIndustries Most likely not. While DOTA 2 has been confirmed for a free-to-play release, it's heavily speculated that CS:GO will stay a retail game.

EDIT: Also, CS:GO is also planned to be released for the Xbox 360 and PS3. It's heavily speculated that the game will be a retail title.

I got a beta invite to CS:GO yesterday. So excited to play it.

There are 2 free-to-play weekends for Civilization V and Red Orchestra 2, and the former costs $10 on Steam as of now.

The free to play weekends are so short. Until Sunday at 1pm. I know that this is when Steam updates, but they start this on Thursday, where it isn't even the weekend. I think it is also not good for developers because if people don't have time to play the games, they won't buy them.

Y's Origin is now available for download on Steam. Y's Origin is a prequel to Y's Book 1. Since it's 2006 release, it's being offered for the first time outside of Japan for $19.99.

Anyone got Dungeon Defenders? Haven't messed with it too much since I got the bundle, but would like to play with some people here. And it's cool how TF2 characters are in it (not sure if it's them as themselves or just class).

All the Deus Ex games (original, Invisible War, Human Revolution) are off 75%, bumping the price to $14.99. That's a lot of value for three amazing games.
