I gather from here that many people own steam. So, why not make a thread about all the sales that are happening on the great service? :)

To start off, we have Trine for $5! Rejoice and start downloading!

That one is on my wishlist. Downloading tonight. Thanks for the heads up, I'll try and keep track of deals as well and post them here. :)

Only other proper sales that I can see at the time is Beat Hazard, 25% off for £5.24 for it's 1st week (Looks like Audiosurf if that was a shooter, so I'm buying it) and Zombie Driver, 50% off at £3.49. Not much else that's very notable right now.

Just got both Dues Ex games and Trine, even though I should've just stuck with Dues Ex. Hopefully the second Dues Ex game is better than people say, and hopefully Trine will be better than the demo suggests.

And now with that, the only games left on Steam that interest me are the Dawn of War games and both Crysis games, none of which I'll be able to afford until the Holiday sale.:P G-d, the Steam sales always manage to get me to spend way more money than I should.:(

Just got Trine tonight, I've been meaning to get that game for quite a while, but never had enough money on my paypal account. I got the Deus Ex games when they had that bundle that came with the three Hitman games all for like $17. Also, I encourage everyone to check out the Altitude demo, I bought it when it came out on Steam. Fantastic game. There is even a profesional league that play tournaments every now and then, and damn they're good.

I have Beat Hazard as well now (bought it alongside Trine and the Deus Ex collection). Gotta say it's fun but hard at times (I go on Normal mode). Only song I've completed so far is that Sonic 4 song which Sega put up online for download and that's only a minute long.

I looked at the Steam sales page and just noticed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was 50%, bringing it down to a nice $15 and Left 4 Dead was on sale for $20. There are also tons of other games on sale, but they aren't worth mentioning since they are mostly very casual indie titles.

@AlexSays Don't go overboard, Okay? I'm sure Valve doesn't want problems involving people getting addicted to Steam sales. :P

I got Deus Ex 2 before the sale ended. woo.

Also, I like how MW1 on sale costs almost the same price as the MW2 DLC.

They don't think it be like it is, but it do.

Please don't bring that up or I might have to go into a logic rant.

You mean how MW1 is the superior game (at least on PC), and yet is on sale for the price of 5 maps? Or that 2 or 3 of those 5 maps are already in MW1? Or perhaps a little bit of both?

@Ravage While I am mad that Activision is trying to rip people off, I'm actually more mad about how people are taking the whole thing like a b#%$&. SERIOUSLY, PEOPLE!!! YOU'RE GETTING THREE NEW MAPS AND TWO OLD MAPS FOR A ONE-FOURTH OF THE FULLY-PRICED RETAIL GAME!!! THINK!!!!!!

EDIT: I forgot that Activision sets the pricing for the DLC.

And the new maps suck, too. I liked the old maps, though, but it still wasn't worth $12.

Man, I liked Steam also, but my mom didn't. She kept on saying it slowed down the computer. Ah well.

I don't really give a damn anymore.
