Send Sonic in, and I'm good.

As for character reductions, the 3DS version will probably have less-textured, lower-poly models. . . but seeing as the hand-held's display is considerably smaller, it probably won't be such an issue.

shinesprite commented on First Impressions: Super Mario 3D World:

I agree with this 100%! Starting with NSMB.Wii, I felt that the Super maria games had lost their edge. Galaxy 2 was great, but even that game would've benefited from more interesting game-play mechanics.

That said, I know Mario sells systems, but perhaps if Nintendo held off on milking the Mario platformer genre, and instead focused on other series, like, oh say Star Fox or F-Zero, there would be a stronger love for future entries in the Mario platformer series.

In short, I think that the Zelda and Metroid IPs have been doing a good job, spacing out their titles, and maybe Nintendo should do the same for Mario platformers.

I'm actually more excited about this than the new Smash Bros!!! I really wish I could try it out. :(

Anti-gravity is really awesome, but I think they should add support for Pro Controller users.

I met Iwata last night around 10:00 PM (a little over 24 hours ago), to which I happily snatched a pink Rhythm Heaven piece. Sigh. Only one more to go for that board. (I've completed about half of them).

I just wish I came across more people who actually took their 3DS out with them; I mean, that IS the main draw between hand-helds and consoles (am I right?).

"He went on to claim that only 5% of players made use of the feature on their current system"

Maybe in the last month, but these things matter a lot more at the beginning of a console's lifespan. ;)

As for me, I'm officially playing DKCR in Wii mode, but lately, the Rayman Legends Challenges App has been more aggressively cutting into my gaming time.

At launch, people did say that the console's power supply was designed to handle a load many times higher than what the system was drawing.

. . . so, while Nintendo could have boosted the clock speeds, I'm highly skeptical that they would boost it that much in a single update. ;)

Currently, I'm using a 32GB SanDisk Extreme class 10/UHS 1 and I have to say, I'm nowhere near using it all up! (ok, about 7 GB used) Some games even seem to load a bit faster than off a regular cart!

At the time, stories of 64 and 128 GB cards were rare, and success was somewhat marginal. Looking back, I don't regret my purchase, even though I seem to have more demos than actual games! XD

Seeing as I haven't had a lot of free time lately, it 's nice to play a short game knowing that If I want to, I can revisit it later. See Portal (1).

Most I'm a long-play kind of guy, but every now-and-then a short game can be refreshing. ;)

@Damo "Software downloaded from the Nintendo eShop will include released updates and will no longer need to be updated after installation"

Actually, today when I tried downloading Zen Pinball 2, I had to download both the game and it's update data. What's more, I was able to prioritize the update data over the app itself.

Also, one more thing to add to the "Changes to Nintendo eShop" list is that app galleries (app screenshots on their respective "More Details" page) are now able to be cycled through, rather than returning to the gallery. ;)

I can't say that I'm not happy, but the art style they chose seems a bit, oh, how shall I put this. . Crude. At the moment, the 3D images look like something from an early N64 game, and "Drawn Link" looks like he's set for a narrated Indie adventure.
