@Octane Ohh I like the way you think. And it isn't like Nintendo didn't already do that with wii sports resort or the olympics games (granted that was required but there is still a market for it). They have already sorta mixed the wave race and 1080 worlds anyway....

I wouldn't mind them doing a new Sports Resorts game with Miis and great physics on all those sorts of events. Would love it actually.

Another Endless Ocean game would be great. Apparently Akira's last games were Dr. Luigi (2013), Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure (2015), and Teddy Together (2016), a 3DS essentially Nintendogs game about a teddy bear released everywhere but NA. So it seems like they're not too busy...

Trauma Center would also be great, or any Atlus game outside of SMT really. Not sure if they're tapped on development for the time being, but they have a long history of supporting both DSs and the PSP, sp they'll be around before long. Trauma Center only ran from 2005 to 2010, and most people haven't played all of those games, so maybe just a collection or re-release would be good.

NO! No Doshin! Bad Doshin!

i can see why you don't like it(weather your joking are not.). but that doesn't mean that you can't say that i want something else for switch. heck, it's been years since we seen anything Nintendo did with these two (and im sure their more Nintendo games, years ago that didn't get any sequels that's not Big.) but i do have doubts on Doshin of getting sequel (only because it's not as huge) anytime soon. still do have hopes for Custom Robo.

and i know Nintendo has other games that im excited for Switch, like Super Mario Odyssey, Kirby, Yoshi, Xenoblade 2, Metroid Prime 4, and Pokemon. I'm just saying, I'm' hoping they visit other franchise that hasn't had any sequels years ago (not counting Metroid of course).

Everything related to Doshin should be buried to desert to be found by Rangers after apocalypse at the earliest. There are basically no limit to digital space and yet somehow Doshin manages to be waste of colossal magnitude on the world of zeros and ones. One could say that Doshin is to video games what Jack and Jill is to comedy movies or New England Patriots to dignity and fair play. There is no worse possible decision under any circumstances for Nintendo to make than to dip their toes on that steaming pile of itself.

But everyone is of course welcomed for different opinion and I understand that not everyone feels the same.

I tried Custom robo on GCN for few times and it wasn't my thing but my brothers absolutely loved it. I was a Front Mission type back then even.

@Aozz101x Aww I miss Doshin...that would be pretty nifty to bring back.

@Ryu_Niiyama Never played any of the Mario & Sonic games, nor Wii Sports Resort. Was it anything like 1080° or Wave Race? "Wii" Sports isn't the best name for a new entry, so maybe a reboot or something new that includes several sports games?

And Doshin was alright... for a GameCube tech demo.

Yet it didn't take me long to want a Wii U but I'm struggling to find motivation to get a Switch yet. The fact that the Zelda and Mario Kart are Wii U games doesn't help. I already have a Wii U, and I already have them.

It's sad that you're checking off Breath of the Wild as Switch's Zelda. Breath of the Wild is Wii U's Zelda. The Switch will need a Zelda of its own. Not for a while, of course, but somewhere down the line.

Also, I really hope that Pokemon Switch has no relation to Sun/Moon, so I don't like seeing 'Stars'. If it is seriously just another Sun/Moon variation my hype will be killed.

I could really go for a full-fledged Luigi's Mansion game. It's been awhile.

@Harmonie

I am not sad to have checked off Zelda with Breath of the Wild. I would have if it wasn't one of the best video games I have ever played. And I don't mind if they make another Zelda but I can also live with multiple story DLC's.

IMario Kart is clearly a port, but it's still Mario Kart and if (We don't know yet if Switch will be success) Switch sells let's say 40 million units which would triple the amount of Wii U then Mario Kart 8 would be available to a lot more people than it ever did on Wii U. That's why I don't think there will be need for new MK for a long time. Maybe they will make one in the end of the lifecycle of Switch and then port that one to Switch 2.

@Octane

Sports Resort Parachuting, flying and Jet skiing were probably the best events in the game along with Golf. Jet skiing had great physics and feel to it and piloting was just fun. I haven't played the Pilotwings resort on 3DS but Resort definitely had potential.

Every single Nintendo system since... the first one, has seen multiple Zelda releases. Whether they're ports or crossplatform, there has always been a couple.

I'd like to see Nintendo's take on a really emotional kind of game. I guess Xenoblade 2 is arguably going to be an emotional roller-coaster if it follows the original but I kind of want something that pulls on my heartstrings a bit from Nintendo and is just kind of like a really beautiful experience. I know they usually care about gameplay more than story but I feel like Nintendo has the capability to make something like Pixar's Up or WALL-e in game form that is both enjoyable but somehow incredibly touching as well. I can't think of a game that exactly fits this description right now but lots of indie games often go for this I think.

Star Fox legacy. It's been 27 years since the Star Fox mercenary team went missing after a great battle. You are tasked to find them, and in the course of your adventure you find out of their heroics, legacy and greatness, recreating their tasks in protecting the people and those in need, only to discover one by one of their demise, with the game ending on a huge space battle above the atmosphere of a lonely planet, where Fox McCloud is buried in an anonymous grave.

I know that isn't what you meant, but that is what I immediately thought. Nintendo should just go and outright kill one of their staple characters in creating a game such as this.

At least three Zelda games were made for the SNES. Two of them were only broadcasted (yeah, broadcasted) in Japan.

They never made it out of of Japan, sadly. But that still counts.

I think the only post-Zelda Nintendo "systems" without multiple Zelda games are the game & watch (1) and the virtual boy (0).

@Aozz101x No to brand new Mario Kart and Smash Bros., those franchises should get the next new entry on the successor to Switch. Switch should be focusing on expanding deluxe ports of MK8 and Smash 4 via DLC meanwhile smaller franchises like Metroid and F-Zero get some attention.

There's plenty of room for both, especially if they make the Switch last as long as a handheld (remember, the DS was from 2004-2011, and the 3DS from 2011 on). I can not believe that people are actually ASKING for ports instead of new games. It's a sad day for me. I don't want to buy a system only for my favorite franchises to only get ports of games I already own instead of new games. Kind of kills any reason to actually buy the system, you know?
