Switch is already giving us more core Nintendo titles than Wii U ever did.
I compiled this little picture that is most certainly missing some important stuff, like Layton and Kid Icarus.
But all in all, There is plenty for us to wait and it's looking good right now.
I really hope that Retro is making a new IP which turns out to be good. And I really hope that Mario + Rabbids encourages Nintendo to give Ubi even more IP's to handle.
edit: Looks like BGE2 was again confirmed not coming to Nintendo Switch in some gameplay video with Ancel. That's a damn shame :/
After the abomination of Amiibo Craptival I have been clamoring for a new entry for the series so much. I put WAY too many hours on my New Leaf and City Folk
Yeah, realized that too late. You are absolutely right with that one. Nintendo should make a collection of those games and release them as one MASSIVE puzzle game collection.
What other puzzles do they have? Doctor Mario, Yoshi's Cookie, Panel de Pon... A bunch of Mario Party puzzles (yeah they have several that are actually rather good).
Maybe I'm looking past it, but a Paper Mario/Mario RPG would be nice. Also, not a game, but Switch Fit? I like Wii Fit U, but would like to see even more exercises, and possibly even online modes, where your Mii would walk into a gym and do exercises, jog on trails, and other exercises amongst other people.
Absolutely. New installment on Paper Mario would be awesome but I wouldn't mind them porting Color Splash to Switch either since I haven't played it through yet and my Wii U is on my kids hands now.
Mario RPG's wouldn't be bad thing, but they would have to go back to Square collaboration for me to get enthusiastic
@Timppis panel de pon is tetris attack, when they localized it for territories outside of Japan, they changed the name and replaced all the characters for better known ones.
My collection of Amiibos would love that. Although I might have to pop open some of them, which I have kept collectible (I have about 50 unopened ones and maybe same amount of opened ones)
1) A new Kid Icarus game, that franchise needs a re-boot and re-brand. The Mario/Rabbids game is taking the X-Com formula, giving it a Mario coat of paint and making it a more accessable (ie - less hardcore, easier for younger and casual players to get into it). I'd do the samething with Kid Icarus and turn it into a kid friendly (but with controls and game play just as tight and deep) God of War.
2) There are some 3rd party franchise's and characters that are very closely tied with Nintendo - Mega Man, Castlevania, Ninja Gaiden, Contra, double dragon, secret of mana - I'd like to see Nintendo either lience these characters/games and do something with them, or co-develop new games (for some retro style games, others modern versions) in these series.
Well, we still have to see the quality of the future releases since it's not only giving, but doing it properly.
Switch is getting a game with FE characters, but not precisely a conventional FE game, at least not in terms of gameplay.
There's still a lot missing, but I believe Nintendo would do a great job, just pointing out some stuff.
