Absolutely there's room for both. But as said, many haven't played MK8 and it's a fantastic game on it's own. There's no need to hurry new iteration because of the Wii U player base.

Mine too. It wasn't a bad game as platforms come. But I don't think it was even a Nintendo IP

edit: Although would be fun to see Bethesda make AAA Plok sequel

But the person I quoted said that the Switch shouldn't ever get a new iteration of Mario Kart or Super Smash Bros., only ports.

I hope we get a second Zelda and a second 3D Mario too. Galaxy 3 would be good.

HD remasters of Galaxy 1+2 could go along with that. And an HD remaster of Xenoblade Chronicles would be incredibly good (and easy to make).

Beyond that, I'd like to see them try another RPG. Maybe use Golden Sun? Also, I seriously hope they pay Square Enix to do a KH3 port. That's surely one of the top 3rd party franchises that'd sell incredibly well on Nintendo.

It's dangerous to go alone! Stay at home.

I think a top down Zelda in the style of ALBW could be possible, pretty sure at this point DLC will keep 3D Zelda on the Switch Evergreen. As for Galaxy 3, can't see it another new Mario game but I think an HD remaster of Sunshine is definitely on the cards. Probably after Smash DX is announced and we have 'official' GC controller support. Or maybe even special GC Joy Cons with analog trigger.... @Dezzy

Definitely agree with a new top-down Zelda. A Link Between Worlds was excellent, and it certainly proved that more traditional dungeons with an open world style can still work wonderfully.

Battalion Wars is the only IP that I can think of that hasn't been mentioned (I guess Advanced Wars counts too in that case).

A new Custom Robo would be awesome. It's been 10 years since the last one, and it's one of my favorite series.

Golden Sun could use a new entry. I have no idea what Camelot has been doing, but they need to get back into Golden Sun or the Shining series again. They are both severely neglected.

Nintendo has tons of IPs that haven't seen love in years/decades, but those are at least "recent" ones that could use a revival. Overall they've done a fantastic job of covering their bases while providing new IPs with the Switch. It's impressive.

Advanced wars producer said that they would need to reinvent the game somehow if they were to make sequel since Fire Emblem has taken that place as the tactical combat game now.

I say give Advance Wars to someone else and let them play with it in some crazy manner. Just supervise it like you did with Mario + rabbids and watch a great game being born.

I say give Ubi free usage to prototype any of Nintendo IP's after this one.

Another Zelda is just about inevitable. With the exception of the Wii U, we've had two Zelda titles on every console and handheld since the N64. And assuming the 3DS and mobile take up far less of their development time (which seems a pretty fair assumption) the odds are pretty high that we'll get another Zelda, although whether it's more along the lines of OoT or a top-down Zelda remains to be seen (I don't expect another Breath of the Wild for a while- that takes way too much development effort, so that will likely only show up on the next Nintendo console, as by the time they finished it, the Switch would be in its twilight years anyway.)

Another 3D Mario is less likely, but I wouldn't be all that surprised. Delighted, yes, surprised, no. We've had two 3D Mario's on the Wii, and they clearly seem to have increased their development team for the Switch, based on the incredible rate of first party games throughout 2017. I think it's entirely possible that we get another 3D Mario, although I think it would likely be more linear.

Then there's Smash Bros, Pikmin, Animal Crossing, I think we can safely assume there will be another Pokemon game after the one they've said is in development, and then there's new IP's. Based on the success of Splatoon, and what appears to be a great start for ARMS, I think it's becoming clear that Nintendo fans love it when they make new IP's.

It's sad what has happened with Golden Sun. I wish more people had supported Dark Dawn. I mean, it may have had some issues, but the series didn't deserve to be put to rest because of that.

I want to have faith, but then I think of Super Smash Bros 4 and how not only did Isaac not become playable, but his AT was flat-out removed. It just makes me feel that they're done with the series. I hope I'm wrong.

Kingdom Hearts III coming to the Switch would be nice, but it was still a PS4/Xbox One game as of E3. Really very absurd that SE chose to make it multiplatform but completely snubbed Nintendo. Kingdom Hearts fits so much better alongside Nintendo titles than it does Xbox titles, and Xbox consoles still have absolutely 0 KH games of any kind, yet Nintendo has had a few. It just feels like a slap in the face. They should have just made it PS4 exclusive, like the first two were PS2 exclusive. How many KH fans actually have Xbox and only Xbox? It's just silly.

I think a Kingdom Hearts bundle would be so spectacular (KH3 too, of course)! I mean, they've made KH games for Nintendo systems (portable) in the past... so come on, guys!

@Harmonie
Ports can be a blessing. Take Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, for example. Had the MK team instead done MK9, a brand new entry, we'd have never seen Arms, which is a new IP from the MK team. So, a new MK vs a Deluxe port of an already incredible game + awesome brand new game. And, the port added a much needed brand new battle mode, and the entire game gained portability.

The same can be said for Smash. If they make a new one, it'll take years. And likely won't be much different than Smash on Wii U. Whereas on the other hand, they could port Smash Wii U, add in all the 3DS content, game also gains portability, and that team could also give us a new Kid Icarus, for example.

Not to say ports are always the answer, but in some situations yes, I'd ask for a port first.

Which is absurd, as Advance Wars' differences from Fire Emblem is why I like it SIGNIFICANTLY more than Fire Emblem. I am literally a person who doesn't buy Fire Emblem but would buy Advance Wars over many games.

Also since its Intelligent Systems, I wonder if its the same idiot that decided because there were 2 Mario RPG series, that they needed to try to ruin Paper Mario instead of LETTING ALPHADREAM MAKE A GAME THAT ISNT MARIO AND LUIGI FOR ONCE, YOU IDIOT-
sorry, sorry, got a bit angry there.

R.I.P Paper Mario. So much wasted potential.

I agree with you here. I prefer Advance Wars to Fire Emblem by far. I hope Wargroove can help me with the tactical warfare itch even a little bit.

Although I am one of the people that has enjoyed every Paper Mario thus far so I can't say anything about that complaint

@G0dlike I'd bet that older/classic/retro style games - top down zelda, side-scrolling Mario, Metroidvania Metroid etc... will be released between the newer and bigger versions of those franchises. Its going to be 5-6 years before we get the Open Air, 3D Zelda game, releasing a top down version right in the middle of that wait time is just smart for them to do - the Link Between Worlds being released between Skyward and BotW model, just one 1 console instead of 2.

If they are going to "get into bed with SE" again I'd much rather see a sequel to Mario RPG or Secret of Mana or Chrono Trigger then a port of Kingdom Hearts.

KH HD ports would be great.

Chrono Trigger sequel would be one of those moments when gaming world would just go absolutely bonkers.

@Harmonie normally I agree but the wiU sold so poorly that those games were not played by many Switch owners, so they are sorta new
