You forgot Monster Hunter XX is coming in Japan this August, and it'll be out in the west eventually (by the end of 2018).

Also, Beyond Good and Evil 2 is such an unfinished tech demo that we have no way of knowing when it'll be done, if it will even be good, and if — when it is finally ready to release — it won't come to the Nintendo Switch X or whatever.

Also, even though Zelda and Mario Kart both got Switch ports, I would be surprised if they don't see at least a cross-platform release by the end of the Switch's lifecycle.

Don't hate me because I'm bnahabulous.

I can't believe nobody's said it already, but when I think Nintendo, after Mario and Zelda, one game comes to mind that is long overdue a modern-day revamp: Duck Hunt.

More seriously, I think Nintendo is doing a great job, but the third parties need to up their game. We need revivals of Mega Man and Castlevania, above all. And while Square Enix isn't likely to bring a new Final Fantasy or Mana to the Switch, I could see them handing over the Chrono IP to Tokyo Factory - that's basically what they're trying to do anyway.

@roy130390

But core FE for Switch has already been announced for 2018. FE-warriors is just a spinoff.

@Bolt_Strike

I just immediately thought that they would buy Sly Cooper and combine him with Dillon for Thief/Sheriff dual gameplay

@zitpig

I've never played any picross games, but more puzzle games would be awesome. Puyo Puyo Tetris is good, but more is needed for sure.

@Canadian_Ronin

I've always thought that they should make Kid Icarus into a full fledged adventure game and your idea sounds great.

Those old NES/SNES characters that we see mainly in Smash now would be great, but I think that they should revamp them somehow. I personally don't need new Megaman platformers... then again new Castlevania with the old formula does sound good

@G0dlike

You've got all? Damn. Im still missing quite a few because we simply haven't had them here in Finland

@Krillin_ No, Tokyo RPG Factory is clearly Square Enix trying to make mobile games for full price.

@Foxyens

Free flight Open Space Star Control type Star Fox... man has to have dreams.

@Haru17

I always forget Monster Hunter although I am not even sure they will bring it to the west if Monster Hunter World sells plenty they will focus on those I think.

BGE2 was pretty much confirmed not to be on Nintendo Switch on some gameplay demo. I haven't seen it, but that's what is said now at least on IGN. It's a shame.

Mario Kart might get new game, but Zelda probably doesn't. I'll go with more DLC instead.

What you say about Tokyo RPG Factory is exactly true. What Square should do instead of Tokyo RPG Factory games is re-release all Final Fantasies from IV to XII on Nintendo Switch in their original forms (or HD remixes or whatever) and watch the money pour in.

@Timppis I don't know why fans think that. It's pretty much entirely illogical. If you're a company and you see your IP sells well in a region, you release more of that IP in the region. Switch being the only current gen handheld on the market, they'll probably release a port of World or another new game on it by the end of 2018.

@Haru17

Hopefully they do. I don't play MH but a lot of Nintendo players do and it would be great to have that here. Maybe they just think that considering the development costs in HD etc. it's better to sell to already large userbase than to Switch.

Timppis

Haru17

@Timppis I think that's exactly what they're doing. Admittedly, it bears repeating again and again that Capcom are releasing the latest Monster Hunter on Switch in Japan on August 25th. But just in terms of new games, I think they waiting the Switch launch out before releasing an entirely new game with this ambitious new console entry that will push the series forward. After that, a new Switch MH or Ultimate version is all but assured.

@Timppis Michel Ancel has said that they weren't sure about the platforms yet. BG&E2 could be on Switch in theory, I'm just not sure if it can run the game...

@Octane

Alright, so it's still up in the air. Although with Switch it's probably a lot closer to crashing down on earth than on the other platforms.

LuckyLand

Donkey Kong Country, 1080°, Endless Ocean, Trauma center are the ones I hope the most for

Also a remake of Eternal darkness. Or a new game in the same vein. Not a sequel, that game was made to not have any sequel but however I still can't get enough lol

I used to be a ripple user like you, then I took The Arrow in the knee

@LuckyLand

Again games I haven't played. Endless Ocean and Trauma Center are completely unknown for me.

Man, a new WaveRace would be amazing.

@G0dlike

That is some nice dedication. Im still getting the rare ones every now and then from Amazon etc. but haven't really done extensive searches. Japan was the place to go it seems in the first craze.

Timppis

@rallydefault Would be cool of Nintendo did something like Steep, combine several sports game into one; Wave Race, Pilotwings and 1080° for example.

@Octane

With Mario... corruptawish

edit: It wouldn't be fair to others though, since Nintendo would absolutely kill it like they did with Open World Zelda and everyone else would be like "Oh Come on Nintendo, you can't go reinventing the entire genre like that ALL THE TIME".

Oh it would be glorious.

Duck Hunt would work well as a hybrid collectathon/shooter. Think Banjo-Kazooie meets Metroid II.

@Timppis [sigh]... I was about to say, if it's Nintendo, it's probably going to be Mario Snowboarding Switch or something like that. Worst part is that not only would it probably be cheaper to develop, it would also sell better...
