Doom... If this game is possible, then what more can one expect? This is a game I'd NEVER have expected, and yet here it is.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Doom is quite the hardware heavy game, isn't it?
It is a hardware heavy game. Not only that, but it really blows holes in other developers lame excuses as to why they aren't releasing games on Switch.
I imagine any developer who said that is sitting there thinking "Fricking Bethesda"

I jumped when I saw the announcement and the brief clip!
DOOM! The spec-heavy, polygon-pumping, super fast paced, wonderfully designed, excellent new DOOM!!
And if that wouldn't be enough already they even follow it up with Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus like it was nothing!! This is crazy.
Just a couple days ago I was super-excited for L.A. Noire on Switch, and just a couple days before that I was high on No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again.
And now this!! It's freaking DOOM and it's real!
This was my personal highlight of the Nintendo Direct, two more games to add to my Day 1 list.
The Xenoblade Chronicles 2 presentation was a close second for me. I've already have that game on my Day 1 buy list, but the new trailer confirmed my decision to fully support this game with all my power and money. ^^
Coming in third, a tie between Super Mario Odyssey - how's it possible that it looks 10 times better each time they show it when it already looked perfect the first time? - and Project Octopath Traveler - what a beautiful openworld and cool character mechanics with new twists on freedom and interaction!
This was a really nice surprise. One of very, very few that came out of the Direct. Wolfenstein II hopefully will be great too. As a Nintendo only gamer I'm delighted to see these arrive on our shores.
Well, needless to say, Fallout 4 doesn't seem like a pipe-dream at this point. If DOOM and Wolfenstein II run well on the platform, most others devs have NO excuse.
