antster1983 commented on Review: Jeopardy! (Wii U):

Would get it but with THQ's closure, it looks like it's not coming to Europe.

I could have played it with a Sean Connery Mii... ;)

antster1983 commented on SNES Classic SimCity Removed From Wii Virtual ...:

Lazy journalism. Sounds more like Nintendo re-licensed the SimCity name for the VC release but chose not to renew their license...

When EA bought Maxis back in 1997 they also bought the Sim world of games. The SimCity name is copyrighted to EA - and not Maxis - on the VC release (look at the bottom of the Health & Safety section of the Operations Guide)

antster1983 commented on UK Press Pins Blame For Sandy Hook Massacre On...:

Former Sun editor Kelvin MacKenzie once said this of Sun readers:

"He's the bloke you see in the pub, a right old fascist, wants to send the wogs back, buy his poxy council house, he's afraid of the unions, afraid of the Russians, hates the queers and the weirdos and drug dealers. He doesn't want to hear about that stuff". ("stuff" being "serious news").

So essentially, to neo-conservative papers like The Sun and the Daily Express, video games are a communist propaganda tool that teaches you how to take drugs and murder people.

antster1983 commented on Insider Reports Suggest That Focus On Eternal ...:

When I used to run SNESzone (a website dedicated to all things Super Nintendo running from 2000-2003) I was in constant contact with Brad Furminger, a SNES fan and Lead Designer at Silicon Knights (he left the company in 2008). He was the lead designer of Eternal Darkness - one of the best and most thrilling games on the GameCube. It's such a shame they've run themselves into the ground in such a fashion. :(

antster1983 commented on Kid Icarus: Uprising Won't be Available from G...:

It's not just Nintendo-published titles either - they aren't stocking new EA titles for other formats like Mass Effect 3 or SSX, and won't be stocking FIFA Street or Tiger Woods 2013 either.

Sad state of affairs when a video game retailer isn't getting games in because it can't afford to stock them :(

But then again, meh, I can buy games online for cheaper :P

antster1983 commented on PETA - Relax Mario Fans, It Was All a Joke:

The world needs PETA like a hole in the head.

It's up to US as INDIVIDUALS to decide whether or not we decide to hunt or eat the flesh from another living being.

By the way, a friend of mine was was shooting for grouse up in Scotland - and he accidentally shot a golden eagle. As you may know a golden eagle is a protected species, so he was brought into the court. My friend said it was an accident and it got into his line of fire and the judge was about to let him off, but before he did he asked him out of interest what he did with the carcass of the golden eagle. He said "I ate it." The judge then asked him what it tasted like. My friend replied, "rather like swan."

antster1983 commented on PETA Launch Campaign Against Mario:

Seriously, PETA get me peed off in a way I can't describe. Why can't they just respect that people eat or wear animal produce and they can't act like Nazis and tell us what to think with their bogus propaganda?

By the way, that Western Black Rhinoceros burger was delicious ;)
