Topic: Who's having the midnight launches?

Well, here's the HMV UK launch places
Here's NA Gamestop midnight launces
And here's 9:00 NA Gamestop launces
Uuuuugggghhhh, I have to wait 9 freaking hours >: ( Guess I'm bringing a tent, a .44 revolver, and 20 5 Hour Energies.

Well, the nearest shop to me is in Chula Vista, CA. That is a 2 day trip in car, so i guess I will need to wait 2-4 days for mine to appear in my mail box by itself

There is one within walking distance of my apartment. It's not the one I usually go to, though.

Why am I even considering this?! I've never gone to a midnight launch before, and I won't even be anywhere near there on Sunday, anyway.

The Gamestop store here is having a midnight launch. I even cut a deal with the manager to let me in the front door the night of the 3DS launch so I can be the first one to get a 3DS in exchange for me letting them play my JP 3DS system.

That gamestop list isn't set in stone is it? I'd be disappointed if my shop didn't release at midnight.

I contemplated it just so I could play Pokemon Black on my new 3DS that morning. lol

I was able to talk some self-control into me though for the time being.

My local Gamestop is having a midnight release too. I'll stay there at about 10:00 to 12:00 to get mines. I doubt there will be alot of people getting a 3DS in my town, so I won't have to worry about lines.

Hee, my Gamestop is doing a Midnight Launch!...not that I'll go to it. I don't think the buses run that late and I'm not walking that far again in the dead of night.

Thanks for the link; just yesterday I asked my local GameStop and the kid said he didn't know anything about a special opening for launch. I can see, however, that the website lists that location as a participating store, proving once again that their employees generally don't know jack.

Don't see my gamestop there. yikes, hope it gets added soon I already paid of my 3DS there and would love to pick it up as soon as possible.

An employee at my store said they're not sure about a midnight launch yet,I hope they do or I'll be pretty ticked off.

I didn't go to a midnight launch for the DSi (if there was one?) and I won't be buying a 3DS at launch anyway, unfortunately.

I'll go if I'm not doing anything, assuming Gamestop has one. However, it's not quite as exciting as a home console or game launch since you're supposed to fully charge portable systems before using them. Assuming the 3DS's battery doesn't play by different rules, it'd just be for the benefit of charging it overnight while I sleep.

I don't know how big a difference it makes charging it fully first, but I'm told it's better for the battery if you do. Probably has something to do with science, but I don't understand.

The one I pre-ordered from is not going to have an midnight launch....Too bad the mall can't have an midnight launch party like my sister's school had and lock-in. That would be fun, Gaming tournaments, etc. Just pay $5 at the door and underaged kids have to have supervision.[Just an idea]

I'd have to wait for 9 too, if I was getting it.

Because it's not Call of Duty, my Gamestop won't be holding a midnight launch.
