4GB. Still plenty of space left, but next year, I may jump into 32GB. I want to get 64GB, but not so sure it's compatible with 3DS yet, or any phone that accepts cards since that capacity is still new.
The price of 32GB used to be like $60+ and now it's 30-some odd. And i bought my 4gb card for like 15 or $20 and now 8gb cost $15. bought my 4gb 2 years ago for my DSi.
more than enough. i dont listen to music on my 3ds. i rather buy a bigger sd card for my cell phone cause i use it for music and 2 gb isnt enough there
I still have the same SD Card that came with it inside the 3DS right now, and I haven't needed to replace it or remove data from it. :I However, if I do have to replace it, that won't be a problem, as I have, like; maybe 8 SD Cards that I never use.

Im using a 16 gb which is doing ok, but im glad I didnt go for the 8 I was planning on. I had a lot of DSiware from my DSi and now with the 3D videos and 3DSware/Virtual console stuff its filling up nicely.

I currently use an 8GB but I am planning on upgrading soon. I really really want to get a 64GB but I don't know if it will be compatible. I've emailed Nintendo about this. Fingers crossed!
@jibberldd I recommend either Class 4 or Class 2. You don't want to get one that's noticeably slow (since the 3DS loads its downloaded software straight off the card), but at the same time, you don't want to be paying extra for a card that's faster than the 3DS can read and write to it.
I currently use an 8GB card; provided I don't overload it with Youtube videos once I have the time to do that after finals, I think it should be good for awhile.

I just have the 2GB one you get with the console, i imagine i have plenty of room left on it as i havent downloaded any 3dsware or anything from eshop as of yet
So I don't have to stick with the 2GB that Nintendo gave us? Sweet. It works for now...but since I don't have a ton of eShop games...eh...I guess I shouldn't worry.
I own a PS1, GBA, GBA SP, Wii (GCN), 360, 3DS, PC (Laptop), Wii U, and PS4.
I used to own a GBC, PS2, and DS Lite
