You could also try moving with the face buttons, and aiming with the stylus.
Granted, I'm a lefty and tried every single different combination until I just decided to use the default control scheme. After a couple missions of adjusting, absolutely zero issues. It just takes time, I think.
Yeah, aiming would be easier, but then it would be harder to manoeuvre Pit, lol
Yes, I just adjusted to the default controls as well, and they're perfectly fine (I completed the game, and compete online just fine), it's just as a lefty, it's impossible for it to be comfortable for extended periods.

1. In online multiplayer, if a player just leaves their 3DS open they will continue to be entered into the next match, creating a 2 person team in L v D. If they would simply disconnect a player who is inactive for about 30 seconds (like in MK7) it would be much less frustrating.
4. Not being able to "retreat" from a level w/o giving up hearts, even if you do it immediately because you picked the wrong
weapon
5. Being forced to go down an intensity level once you die, instead having the option to pony up more hearts to keep it
This alone has made the game less fun, and more like work.
It hard as it is to beat most of the levels on lv.9 intensity, and when you die, you basicly have to do it all over again.
I have beaten level 1-8 on 9 intensity, level 9 been a real pain. Anyone have a good strategy for this level?

The levels are stupidly long, and they all pretty much play the same — none of them should've been any longer than the first one. That along with what Oddy mentioned makes replaying singleplayer extremely tedious and annoying.
I think the levels were a good length for the first run through, but on second and third times, the later levels can just drag on. I think this game is wearing thin for me... I can see what was meant when they said they likely wouldn't make a sequel because this game isn't hugely deep. I mean, it isn't dead shallow because the variety of weapons adds a ton, and there's plenty to do... but I'm getting sick of it.
Except multiplayer. Which surprised me how good it is.
It's a good game, but I think it's missing a good story.
I think the story is quite good, I just don't like how all the interesting elements (as in chapter 10 and beyond) just feel more like random subplots rather than stuff that all ties together in anyway (outside of I guess Viridi's maybe character development)
@LordJumpMad all i can say is that you need a weapon with some homing shots like the silver bow and when you got time,wait for a bit for a charge shot,and have health recovery for a perk also armor and invensiblity

So now people want shorter gameplay? Some of you NL commenters are condescending. I can beat the first level in 5 Minutes, no matter what the intensity is. I find difference in levels, and gameplay strategies, as far as it can go, one level puts you in puzzle after puzzle, another level limits you to a rock. How would improve levels?
I'm not sure you know what condescending means. Did you mean impossible to satisfy?
The levels are great, it's just that replaying them, you realize just how dull they can be. A huge number of them are just running through corridors, entering a room to kill baddies, then running again. The main reason I use claws is because I can run through these dull stages as fast as possible.
The gameplay is just a bit shallow at times, and it becomes really apparent when things like the treasure hunt require you to replay levels multiple times.
So now a lot of u guys have complaints, I hated Kid Icarus before any of you posers! Everyone always wants to copy the cool kid. >_<

People ask for a new Kid Icarus for years, now those people are bashing the result for a game that is worthy for best 3DS game ever. What is wrong with you guys?

Why should you regret what you did? I mean, you only wanted to say what you though was obnoxious about the game, and talk about it. The haters came here themselves to complain about it, so it's not your fault.

Well on that last post I was joking around while I did find those 5 things obnoxious it wasn't enough to ruin the game for me I still loved it. I was just joking around since at first people didn't like my list yet now it feels like everyone has something bad to say about kid icarus (posers LOL ). Also you asked so deal with it, people have things they didn't like and you asked them to tell you what they didn't like so yeah.....
