Yeah, it kind of is, but one that had to be made.

I still hate falling, and it happens occasionally, but I eventually became self aware enough to stay off the grated area of Lava Basin, (and stopped playing LvsD) so that would probably be number 6, the only thing is that can be somewhat prevented, unlike Aeries Armor and Energy Barrier.

Oh, I like to use Energy Barrier for those that are trigger happy >:3

Other than that, it's an enemy that can be avoided, but also has a bit too much health, along with the cheapest moves. Disabling it with confusion, ice, or petrification takes care of them.
.
Most of my top 5 is in Together, because I've seen a lot of cheap tactics and weapons lately.
.
5.
Getting kicked from a game.
There is no ability for a player to kick another to my knowledge, so when the servers don't allow me to play with certain people, or boot me towards the end of a winning match, I get frustrated. Not higher because it only happens every 1 in 5 matches or so.
4.
Mega Laser abuse and spamming
Pretty self explanatory, but when I see multiple mega laser sandwiching me in a tight spot, or about to make a run for safety only to be blocked by a mega laser, I get somewhat annoyed. Not higher because very rarely does the laser itself kill me.
3.
Super Armor with melee weapon abuse.
Self explanatory in the cases of Raptor Claws, Samurai Blade, and F***ing Taurus Arm.
2.
Energy Barrier spamming
I use staffs that usually 1 hit kill under most ranges. When a person gets lucky timing and flings a shot back at me, or hides behind a barrier with a homing weapon at mid range, I get very frustrated, almost to the point where I "rage quit".
1.
Aeries Armor abuse on melee weapons
More than self explanatory in the above cases. When a player has Aeries Armor equipped, your only option is to turn invisible, a liberty that I don't bother to use.
When a person has Aeries Armor, you can't touch them.

So basically you don't like powers? I love the depth and strategy powers add to the game.

No, not really actually.
I love the depth most powers bring, but ones that allow a melee user to get up close to anyone with little resistance for about 20 seconds gets annoying, and shuts down most of my classes completely.
I believe that using a combination like that takes less skill, and though someone can argue this wrong, I will stall hate Taurus Arms forever.
.
That being said, there is strategy conserving and using them at the right times, these being different for almost every single variable that can happen in a match, making most powers bring extra challenge too.
.
If only it wasn't as awkward to use them.

I think weapons and powers were all balanced considerably well. Much better than Sakurai did in balancing the Smash Bros. games. I don't personally find claw or arm users annoying, mostly because I kill them before they get anywhere near me. If they are bothering you that much, use a defensive power like warp, bumblebee, or playing dead.

I've faced a couple good Magnus Club users and they can get close to you with invisibility or lightweight and one hit kill you. That's slightly annoying, but seeing as the weapon has the shortest range of any weapon, it should be powerful. I like the challenge of beating someone who tries to get in your face like that.

I don't really think Mega Lasers or Energy Barriers are unfair in any capacity. They have a limited number of uses (like any other power), so I really don't see how they can be spammed. Also, everyone has the same access to powers, so it's not like they're getting a special advantage (as you can use them just as easily).

Grrrrr
Now I have to repeatedly support mah list.

@SamuraiShyGuy
I can agree with you on the balancing being a bit better than in Smash Bros games, but as a stubborn staff, and occasional bow user, there are some things that completely shut my class down, which is highly unpleasant.
Though I did get over Magnus Club users, they started to get weaker.
.
@RR529
I never said unfair. We're talking about obnoxious, and whenever my forward dash charge shot from my Rose Staff is immediately belted back into my face, I get pretty irritated by that person. Mega Lasers are annoying because the often stop me in the middle or beginning of an energy charge, causing some minor frustration for just wasting a power.
Players often spam powers either with their duration, or number of uses. I don't really need to use any other powers in the classes that I have, and I don't need to fix what isn't broken, along with some powers being form-fitted for certain weapons and classes.

  • 1 - Dialogue
  • 2 - Controls (they're slightly awkward, and could use a little work)
  • 3 - Weapons balancing & restrictions (ever seen a guy who fleshes out his targeting, adds the shots-go-through-the-wall perk, uses autoreticule, hides in the corner, and fires like no tomorrow?)
  • 4 - Online system (change the teams if team 1 has 2 really crappy guys, I hate when I have to fight like it's a one-man team!)
  • 5 - The menu & font designs need to be streamlined a little better

25% of it was great, 50% of it was okay, and another 25% of it was bad. It should be more like 50% good & 50% okay.

How was it bad? I found the whole voice acting to be great. Sure, it came off cheesy most of the time, but it was good cheesy.

I really, really do not like how the Intensity and the Hearts system work. If I take a shot at a high intensity to get great weapons, the last thing I want is to get bumped down lower and have the game made easier after every death. How the hell am I supposed to get good at 9.0 with this logic? This is the only part of the game that pisses me off. Haven't had any other major problems.

Seriously, what with the dislike for the dialogue? They've done a great job on making it. Sure, it is cheesy, but still nice to listen to. So tell me, exactly what is so annoying about it?

The dialogue is stupendously cheesy, but I feel that's what gives it character and charm. To be honest, I can't really play the game without the voice acting, it just feels a void, otherwise it's just constant firing and it's very boring. the only reason I like the online is because it's always action packed, whereas the single player just... isn't unless your on the higher difficulties and then it's still rather bland.

I agree with Oddy on the vehicles though, those have to be the most annoying controls I've ever used for a car in a game. The camera never moves with the car and it always stays in the exact same place until you spin it, just stay behind the bloody thing would ya!?! If I see an Exo tank, I will use it, but if it's near somewhere with a lot of holes to fall down, then screw it, I'm walking.

again, chapter 19. It mostly works but the parts that don't are honestly painfully awful.

You hate the fact that your "1 hit kill under most ranges" weapon can be countered by other players.

What.

Lol, I agree. Most of those points seemed like positives to me.

Obnoxious is a strong word. I find nothing in this game that is even close to being obnoxious. More like slight annoyances that are completely outweighed by the entirety of this masterpiece. That's right, Kid Icarus Uprising is a masterpiece.

And something that is continuously brought up is the vehicles. The only vehicle that I had problems controlling at first was the Exotank, and then I realized that you shouldn't mess with the camera while driving. If you just drive it and leave the camera alone it makes a tremendous difference, in my experience.

From a lefty's perspective without a CPP, I'd have to say the controls. They are wonderfully crafted, and deadly accurate, but are obviously designed around right handed play. Again, they are extremely accurate, but I can only play 1mission at a time (or around 3 online matches), because it becomes uncomfortable for me to play longer.

I have tried aiming with the face buttons, but the game's not built for that, so I just couldn't find myself getting used to it.

It is overall an amazing game though, and if it weren't for that small issue, it'd join the list of 3DS games I constantly go back to (Dead or Alive: Dimensions, Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy, VVVVVV, and Tales of the Abyss).

You could also try moving with the face buttons, and aiming with the stylus.

Granted, I'm a lefty and tried every single different combination until I just decided to use the default control scheme. After a couple missions of adjusting, absolutely zero issues. It just takes time, I think.
