SamuraiShyGuy commented on Review: ZombiU (Wii U):
Good review. You seem to be one of the reviewers that "get" this game.
I'm loving this game. There are plenty of times I wish I could use the Wiimote and nunchuck, though, because I suck at aiming with dual analog sticks. And me and my friend have been playing the multiplayer for the past three days. It's insanely fun.

SamuraiShyGuy commented on Review: Pokémon Black and White 2 (DS):
It's funny. I'm actually playing through Pokemon Red right now. It brings back a lot of memories.

EV training doesn't take skill. It just takes a lot of time and basic math.

SamuraiShyGuy commented on Feature: Our Favourite Super Mario Games:
This is all just opinion, so I won't make too much of a fuss, but I just can't understand how these Mario lists keep putting SMG1 above SMG2. I don't care if SMG1 came out first and is therefore "fresher." The question is, to a gamer who has never played either, which is better? Clearly it is Galaxy 2.
They should be looked at as stand alone games.

SamuraiShyGuy commented on 3DS XL Represents 'The Progress of Technology':
The only way I'd consider getting a 3DS XL is if they actually released that clear version. It brings me back to the days of N64 and GBC/GBA.

SamuraiShyGuy commented on Review: Marvel Pinball 3D (3DS eShop):
Nice review Jon. You really nailed the issues I had with Zen Pinball: the physics and the lack of detailed table explanations.
The best way I can explain Zen's physics is the ball feels like a ping pong ball when going up the table and it feels like it's made of uranium when it's going down the table.

How has no one commented on this yet? I always wanted to try this game, but never have.

Lol, I feel like I've just entered a lost dimension. Hey there uel. Castlevania: Circle of the Moon is the only Castlevania I've ever played. I never beat it though.

All I know is, it better not be more than $299.99.

@Chrono, It's okay to not like the game, but to say that it's awful is just an ignorant statement. Did you get the attention that you wanted?

I'm definitely interested in this.

SamuraiShyGuy commented on Feature: The Super Mario Renaissance:
I think the Wii is the best system for Mario games. NSMB Wii and Galaxy 2 are my favorite 2d and 3d mario games. Galaxy 1 is right there with them. And don't forget about Super Mario All Stars Anniversary Edition and all the VC games.

Up there with World of Goo and Cave Story as the best WiiWare games. I haven't stopped playing this since Thursday.

Price drops like this so soon after a system's launch is nothing new. It only makes a 3DS look that much sweeter. At the same price as a DSi XL, there's no reason not to buy one.

The crouching backflip isn't a big deal if they left in the side flip. They left in the side flip, right?

@ZachKaplan, If this game came out at launch we would have one less game to look forward to.

Jimmy Fallon is awesome. I'm a big fan of him and his show. He's a big game fan and has an annual video games week after every E3. He saved Nintendo for last this year. Last year they showed off Donkey Kong.

SamuraiShyGuy commented on Review: Rayman 3D (3DS):
Yeah, that makes sense Corbie. I didn't realize the nostalgia you had for the game. I understand you are trying to be objective in your reviews, but at the same time it is still your opinion. It's almost an oxymoron, the way it contradicts itself. It's kind of odd to think about. I guess it would be more acceptable to review subjectively if you are only reviewing games in your genre of preference. But at the same time, I'm gonna be mad if a reviewer out there tries to be harsh on Ocarina 3D because game technology has advanced. But I was never questioning the way you review. Your reviews rock.
As for reviewing kids games, no offense to those who review them, but I don't think they are very important. Kids don't read them and I highly doubt there are many adults reading them before they buy a game for their kids.
#36
SamuraiShyGuy commented on Review: Rayman 3D (3DS):
@ Corbs,
How could it be your favorite 3DS launch game when you only gave it a seven? Are you saying SSFIV deserves a 6? It doesn't make sense to me.
