'****, there's a lot we haven't told. Let's go make a game for the Wii.'
ugh. it seems like we always get sidestories while the other consoles get the main series games. (this, Soul Calibur, Resident Evil). I'm not a fan of that type of thinking
because of how the music picked up at the end of the first one (starting at 1:25 ), I'm pretty sure that's where the tv commercial would begin, if there was one. The whole videos will probably be put up on Nintendo channel.
Which is a shame, cause if they break it up into good parts (such as anything said by Doc Louis), they could make a good series of commercials.
I just realized how existential the game's cover is - apparently you play this game at birthday parties, and on the cover of a game about birthday parties is a birthday party, playing a game about birthday parties.
Also, I like how the tag for "casual" was created only for this article.
@ataffa1: I would like for this game to be true, but I still think its still unlikely if not impossible. As has already been mentioned by Angelic Lapras King, the article is several months old, with no additional information on what would be a huge game, and, the article is all rumors and assumptions.
While i'd like for them to enjoy in experiencing this great series, I do find it a bit unfair that now they will soon have some of the games in the bitGenerations (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bit_Generations) games in 2 capacities, while we are lacking several that I would really love to buy.
It's My Thursday! gives neglectful mums and dads a complete “Day with the kids out of their hair” to throw the best next-generation weekday, including themed easier than doing it in real life – blue for boys, pink for girls, yellow for you haven't cared in years to check!
“Pay us for what you can do your damn self!” said Steve Lux, vice President of "A fool and his money are soon parted" for 2K Play. “With It’s My Thursday, we deliver the ultimate fifth day of the week experience – or fourth for a new twist on calenders. We’re excited to give kids the gift of thinking their parents want to spend time with them and offer parents help in holding on to their money.”
An average family of 4 goers can join in the festivities as they get in another minigame-fest buy this box, experience buyer's remorse, and get on with their own damn lives. The ankle-biters... i mean kids... can also choose from 52 weeks to set the scene for something they would've gone through anyway.
It’s My Thursday! was developed by 2K’s take 'em for all their worth Games studio, the creators of the existent It's My Birthday franchise, which will likely sell as many copies as their are Wii's.
...I'm sitting in a class that frustrates me, and trying to relieve some snark. If it's not funny, F it.
I want to like it, but the generic nature and general lack of effort are very disheartening. I'll pass, and stick with either the MANY platformers availible on disc or the virtual console, or wait for Explodemon, Cave Story, and LostWinds Forever.
While I do prefer the fighting game genre, this does look like a bit of a mess, with quite a bit of work for little gain. Maybe it will be better than it looks, though.
...Still crossing fingers for a new Darkstalkers on Wii
I love how exactly half of the basic package is just watching him play tetris. If thats all one game, that's very good (read: inhuman), but maybe a bit excessive.
Really? You're kidding right? 1. Totally irrelevant 2. Well why the hell not just port Mario and Smash Bros. over to the 360 and LittleBigPlanet to the DS? Companies are COMPANIES because they at least occasionally attempt to make feasible business decisions. 3. Are you aware of what a first-party developer is? Or "profit", for that matter?
down to 12 doesn't really bother me, i doubt I'd often be able to get 15 other people together for one game anyway, at least not on the Wii...
@Wesbert: basically, like "Assassins"? I get the feeling the new modes would be my favorites.
@Maniac: Yeah, I'm fairly certain I'd seen June before too. Of course, since the switch between spring and summer is during June (21st/22nd), hopefully it was just delayed by a week.
@Madgear: Of all 3 of those games, House of the Dead: Overkill is the only one that was developed by SEGA. MadWorld and The Conduit were both developed by different developers (Platinum Games and High-Voltage Software respectively), as you can see from both THE ARTICLE ITSELF and the games pages, as well as literally one year's worth of information on both games. Also, 1998 PC game? Are you kidding? TL;DR summary: please stop trolling.
EDIT: the multi-player reveal was YESTERDAY, I doubt they'd work that fast to fix that one problem, so either its something they were debating for a while or this announcement has a possibility of being reversed.
sigh... i wish we could get an actual bit of action and information, but at least theres one thing to be learned from the menus - apparently the trust don't count as human.
I'm inclined to agree with ObjectionBlaster and RevolverLink. I personally wouldn't have played this game, but would have still supported its release. I wish Nintendo actually took its own advice and those of its fans. If they don't support the fans, we should at least get the opportunity to experience something that we would have supported. Sometimes it seems that Nintendo puts more effort into shutting down the homebrew channel for importers than into actually getting games into multiple regions.
I haven't had any issues with motion control. I've played the game and am a huge fan, but I really do hope that the sequel fares better graphically. I'd like to give credit to the audio, though. The voices are great, the sound effects are hilarious, and the soundtrack is spectacular. If only it was more dominant.
connect 4 (or more) blocks of the same color. aim for larger combos. try not to have it get too close. if you eliminate a color and there are NONE left in the magazine of that color, it is gone, UNLESS a set amount of time passes, in which case more blocks are added. There's not much else, but tetris is deceptively simple.

A bit more confirmation that Miyamoto seems to have stopped listening to reason. Does anyone else see a trend happening with the holdovers from Genesis/SNES days?
does this game have achievements that reduce the completionist to obscene teary fits of rage? (I'm still in shock just THINKING about MM9, and i didn't even play the game)
Looks good to me., and looks like the file size may be increased. Though I'm not sure if the dialogue is intentionally bad or just bad. also, is it Explode-mon or Explo-demon in game?
damn. my first comment on this site was a first comment... on the other SD article, which they deleted. I was thinking more along the lines of Soul Calibur 1, moving a bit forward in time for arcade titles
SO... virtual console arcade: how recent do you think the arcade games will get with this newfound storage space? the first soul calibur would be nice...
On the Internet channel, the most recent version of flash Adobe allows use of is Flash 7. of course, this makes any useful video watching outside of youtube USELESS. is there any sign that adobe is letting the wii use more recent versions for internet and wiiware channels?
4 - 6 would be nice, but at the LEAST, i'd like to know what comes out before the morning it comes out. doesn't Japan get their info at the beginning of the month?

Re: Watch Contra Re-Birth In Action
up up!!
EDIT: I was kind of hoping someone might add "down down!!" and all the rest
Re: Capcom Confirms Monster Hunter 3 Tri For Western Release
its a quality import title. We could always use some reassurance to make us sure its coming to other regions.
Re: Nintendo Download: Soccer, Pirates and Galaxies (US)
I'd say "yawn" on the whole, but there is the soccer game (on a console I don't have) that this gets moved up to "meh".
I haven't bought a single download game this calender year...

"... and then you may end up Walking the Dog".
Brilliant. It was a very good commercial. It's still not making me excited for the game, but it's a definite step up from the family montages.

@Starwolf_UK: try 2 years or not at all, as most of us actual Americans have already said.
And yes, I remember that PAL had to wait an additional 2 months for this and most games.

I agree wholeheartedly. I didn't really give the series a chance until this game, but having played it, its almost perfect
Re: Dunaway: No E3 Snowboarding This Time
I just thought of who she reminds me of now. Sarah Palin. In my mind, that's not a good thing.
There already IS a Zelda Wii, plus 2 Zelda DSs. I know you're "A True Zelda Fan", but expecting another is highly unreasonable.
Re: No Fatal Frame IV for North America
Yeah, Nintendo couldn't really stop Desperate Struggle. If they did, I'd head for the Garden of Madness.

this might be pretty cool. from a game that a friend of mine has (japanese, for ps2), the concept works very well
Re: Wii Storage Solution Solved - Finally A Use For The SD Card Slot!
@Nintendo-Naut
no, it doesn't change how saves are handled, only games. So, the saves that do not permit moving or copying to SD still won't.
Re: SD Card Game Launching + Arcade Games Available on VC Now!
@rat
i believe 32 gig implies SDHC, but i could be wrong
hmm. Darkstalkers games are arcade games...
fingers crossed for Vampire Hunter and Soul Calibur 1
Re: Wii Storage Solution Solved - Finally A Use For The SD Card Slot!
you still have to keep the save file on the system memory, but otherwise its great
Re: 6 New DSiWare Titles Coming to Japan

arcade is such a loosely defined word... maybe we can get some stuff from earlier this decade with the 32Gig support
