you're right. Sadly i was once that kind of gamer, but after trying toki tori and giana sisters, mixed with the disappointments from 3rd party games, I'm all aboard the Indie train, and I'm ready to spend my eshop money on any quality game, because truth be told, the indies are the future of gaming, not the major companies.

@gatorboi352 is it really relevant though if 3rd party success is strictly COD, BF, Madden, 2K, and 1-3 action games? for some people, sony and microsoft are niche systems for shooters, sports and netflix. for example,im an all around gamer, but last year, the only 3rd party i enjoyed not from nintendo was tomb raider, i usually buy batman every release, i was not interested due to it not being up to par, i usually buy nba, did not due to it not being much better, i hate madden (EA altogether), i dont like COD, and bioshock was the only game i wanted to play but didnt. my point is no 1 system will ever be king or the system to have, because despite all those 3rd party games on my ps3, it still doesnt have my nintendo games, and thus vice versa. not arguing, meerly advocating.

@Agent721 I've played both, still play the online, and i disagree the Last of Us is a winner of anything. personally feel tomb raider was the better game between the two, but for this argument, I fully agree the Last of Us is not a game but an experience. I played 60% of last of us, then my file was corrupted so i youtube 'd the rest of it and it was just as equally awesome to watch as it was play, and my wife who watched me play and the youtube video agrees. This showed me in hindsight that playing the game was actually a "chore" and did not enhance or takeaway from the "experience". obviously the same can not be said for Super mario, but this is just me.

i really really enjoyed the 1st two arkham games, but did not buy this one because the took away multiplayer. but just when i was thinking i will buy it, they do this...
the stunt they are pulling plus what we went through with injustice, its unprofessional. will never buy arkham origins or any WB game again

i need mario & luigi partners in time, that game is hard to find and even harder to get for a good price. prime hunters and mario64x4 would be nice too. oohhhh and lets not forget kirby canvus curse!

@MAB exactly. alot of people keep saying nintendo needs to go 3rd party, but really they just want nintendo to be the ''all in one'' gaming monster, trumping sony and microsoft, but thats not nintendos style, and im alright with that.

@WingedSnagret fully agree, nintendo can not survive being strong armed by sony and microsofts rules, just not going to work. Sega couldn't do it with them, that's why they've realized there mascot and best seller does best with nintendo.

to me that is the problem, but in ways not to bad. by that i mean nintendo overall has the best software. they own the most iconic characters, create award wining classic games and sell them well enough to be siting on an extensive wealth of profit, and thats a threat to these activision, who only had guitar hero, skylanders and call of duty, or EA who mainly just have need for speed and madden. in a way, the 3rd parties are conspiring against nintendo, because nintendo controls its company and hardware whereas sony and microsoft largely bank on them, giving ea and activision and others more vale and power.

at the end of the day no developer can use "the systems limitations" as an excuse, because Nintendo has been able to fully utilize the hardware.

This was my same argument on PS3, how is it that naughty dog with 3 games, uncharted 1 - 3 can make a near flawless, glitchless, no loading , consistant frames, game, but others can't???

These developers need to stop.

but everyone of those I'm really excited for, and with Nintendo Directs on the way plus E3, this is going to be Nintendo year for sure! honestly don't see sony or microsoft convincing me from a software standpoint to purchase either of there systems right now.

all the smash bros hype (MEGAMAN) was amazing. also enjoying the 150+ hours of fire emblem, my favorite 3ds game.

I'd like to have this game again, but all of the levels are just not fun. Radical Highway, possibly my favorite Sonic level ever, is for sure my most hated level in this game.

I know exactly what you mean, all those nintendo DS games i traded in, now I'm trying to get them back and they're not cheap at all.

I use one this one, i upgraded from the original because i wanted to capture the wii and wii-u games via hdmi. software is meh, but its much better than the 1st.

Nintendo do NOT go the SEGA route, there's no reason to submit to Sony and Microsoft just because of STOCK HOLDERS.

But why do i feel like Iwata is going to "leave" nintendo, if you know what I mean, and be replaced with someone who will do such a thing.
I'm telling you now, REAL gaming will be dead the day nintendo stops making hardware. mario, zelda, metroid, etc games will NEVER be as good because the hardware is designed to match there system. They don't have to worry out 2-5 platforms, just 1, that's why Nintendo games are excellent quality.

I would love to get into it, but i have this thing where i have to play games in order, which im ONLY breaking for the 1st time with pikmin 3. still, it will drive me crazy not playing breath of fire 2, having not played the 1st one.

melee was great, but i really prefer brawls play style, minus the tripping. either way, whatever they decide to do, i will be happy and will adjust accordingly like all other fighting games.

i like these kinds of games and loved the demo, will be buying, just not right away, caught up between animal crossing and super luigi. plus last of us

Megaman is my favorite video game character, but i can't bring myself to buy the VC games, simply because i have the Gamecube collection for both megaman and megaman x. However, one day i may be swayed, because i don't care for the controls on gamecube for megaman and the save states would be nice.

Frankly, this is a win. I feel like Indie developers try harder to make good games than these mega-companies like EA and Acttivision. Nintendo and Indie games....I'll gladly take it!
