Re: Feature: Games That Got Us Through Tough Times

I think it goes without saying ACNH helped me alot during 2020. I was a great escape from everything since the family was stuck at home. Outside of that, whatever I'm playing at the current moment. Video games have been a great way to forget about my troubles. Even if it's only in small doses, any little bit helps.

I took a chance on Slay the Spire awhile ago when it was on sale. I've never tried a deck builder game before but I figured I'd give it a shot. I was surprised how much I enjoyed it (even though I'm not that good at it). I'll have to redownload it and get back too it this week. Good looking out Kate Gray.

I'll be continuing my play through of the stick of truth. This game is alot better then I thought it would be. I'd dare say this is one of my favorite RPGs. While playing, I'll be watching my White Sox and helping my daughter navigate her first Final Fantasy game. I redownload 7,8,9 and 10 so she could test the waters and see which one she likes. Enjoy the weekend everyone!

I'm trying something new out. For the longest time I've been buying games on sale and then letting them sit until I've finished the current game I'm playing. The problem is I feel like I get burnt out on that game because I'm just trying to finish it so I can move on to the next one, mean while my backlog keeps growing. So now I'm going to rotate my games weekly to see if that helps. This week I'm splitting my time between Doom 64, Duke Nukem and Quake while watching the NFL playoffs. Enjoy the weekend everyone.

Just picked up The Messenger on sale. Only played it a little bit yesterday but, hot damn, it's a really good game. I know I'm late to the party on playing it but I highly recommend it to anyone that hasn't yet. So I'll be playing that and Age of Calamity this weekend in between watching the playoffs. Enjoy the weekend all.

@Kidfunkadelic83 Same here. I've been playing Cuphead on and off for two years and still haven't beat it. Don't care though. I remember playing games in the 80s without finishing them. It was always the experience not the end game.
