...I did not have high expectations for this when I heard it'd be free-to-play and would involve no driving, but... just wow...

I may just be a sore loser, but... I wish they coulda been on time with the Bank over these soundtracks... ._.

@AdanVC Yeah, this is the sort of game in which, if you think you'll enjoy it, you probably will; if you don't think you will/are indifferent, you probably won't like it.

Got it launch day, loved it. I knew it was probably an average-score game when it came to reviews, but I've still had fun with it. ...probably the last time I jump into a game like this without waiting for reviews, though.

The graphics are superb, and the characters are fun, though; so this is enough to keep me going.

...And apparently I'm the only one who's had zero trouble with the camera.

Well, I'll say this much: anything that I'll make with this will probably look better than anything I've previously done; I've never used vectors before (only sprites)... so I'd be able to do a lot more advanced art than I've used before... though I do like pixelart. :3

Looks like a nice little engine! ...I might have to check this out! ...I'm good with making 2D games, this looks built for 2D.

@ACK hahaha, yes... these guys are doing what I plan on doing when I'm out of school... but I'd like to see a bit more effort being put in... o.o

@Angelic_Lapras_King In my experience, it's more of just trying to make the game do what you want it to do... you keep doing different things until you've bent the game to your will, haha!

I think 3DS is basically a shoo-in for Handheld game of the year... only Tearaway isn't from the 3DS, so it had better be absolutely amazing if it wants to win... but since ALBW also is nominated for GOTY, and Tearaway is not... that should say something. But who knows.

@TrueWiiMaster Oh wow, that game just ended up totally slipping my radar... I somehow missed the review and everything! ...I think I'd rather get that one than Bomb Monkey, actually.

I might pick up Bomb Monkey if it's only $3...

I think it looks pretty slick, but I really don't see Nintendo ever making something that looked like that... I also don't see them dropping the dual-screen format any time soon, either. Two screens works so well and lets you do so many amazing things!

@JaxonH I'm (planning on hopefully) getting Yoshi's New Island and Kirby: Triple Deluxe on launch day, too!

...I'm kinda obligated to get Kirby: Triple Deluxe 'cause of the work I do at the Kirby Wiki, but I'm excited for Yoshi, too!

Well s***. I am now officially upset that NA does not have this...! I want to complete my SMB collection on my 3DS, damnit!

I love speedrunning! I love games that have speedrun goals/timers built in (like Rayman Origins or Super Mario 3D Land). Right now the only game I can speedrun all the way through Super Mario Bros. 2, and I can speedrun The True Arena in Kirby Super Star Ultra. And I've been working on speedrunning Super Mario Bros., too. I don't have the time right now to watch this one, but I will be back!

...people who complain about speedrunning are probably the ones who can't do it.

I find it so weird that those games sold so well... I've never heard anything about those games that would suggest that they were so popular... I guess those games must have been more popular in Japan than the west! I really would have expected ALBW to be the best of the bunch, but... I guess I was wrong...
